let's say I'm looking into quick cheap trips to Vegas. maybe a 3 night 4 day trip early in week. anyone have any recommendations for hotel/casinos, where not to stay, eat, etc... I know some of you (including but not limited to The Chef) are living an working around there. aside from a few layovers to L.A. I've never been and I don't really play casino games, just poker but my boyf does and if he's lucky maybe I'll bring him with me. so yeah, card room suggestions welcomed.

Poker rooms - bellagio still has the best atmosphere. Skill is high and you can pick out the locals quickly. You can try Wynn poker room too, I have not been in a while but hea it is much better. If you just want an easy and fun game. Consider mandalay or even ballys
Hotels - bellagio again one of my top picks- great pool. Wynn as well - treasure island is nice value and location
Eat - have to do bellagio buffet do it once like at 2 u won't have to eat the rest of the day. New new York has a great pizza place. Treasure island has a great high end Mexican. But I would defer to Chef for food advice.
Feel free to ping me for anything else! N good luck!

Oh yeah drop truf and terrorize. !

Mandalay bay is a must

MGM is good, and ok price wise. I spent my entire trip in their poker room.
I've also stayed at the Luxor, it was cheaper but not as nice.
I'm looking online now for my trip in February and I saw some good deals on travelocity for belagio so I might stay there -
stay at the bellagio.
-
Venetian, Caesars, bellagio all good

Aria is a sick one, part of mgms city center it's really modern looking and really nice

U are going to Vegas? I can't wait to pound a turf of yours over n over again
-
oh nelli. who doesn't want to pound one of tek's pussies over and over again.
the bellagio looks amazing. I would love to sit in their card room. I admit, I will sit and grind it out on a pussy 1-2 table happy as a clam. I got rather used to raping tourists at the borgata. I did see bellagio packages with buffet included but I also saw Mandalay bay for cheap.

Manadalay is nice but it is so fning far from the action. Never stay there just go for a day if you want to see it. Trust me.
Aria is beautiful but was like a funeral when I was there. Nice poker room too but no personality.
I am saving a spot for ur turfs mama 😜

It depends... Are u GLITZ & GLAMOUR or DOWN & DIRTY? Palace Station is close enough to the strip and
will save u a chunk of change to spend elsewhere. You'll hardly be in your room anyway. Take a look. -
I'd say I'm a mix of both. I enjoy luxury and have a lavish streak. I clean up real nice but some of the filth that comes out of my mouth gives away the fact that I'm not a classy broad.
I like the balance of knowing If I'm up at the table I won't be in the room much, but if I bust out big time real early at least I have the hotel room to enjoy.

Stay at the MGM signature hotel.... Amazing... Get the 1 bed suite

I always preferred staying off strip myself. I always stayed at Sunset Station. And craps is my game, and Station casinos offer 10x odds. So it was even more convenient for me. NAd they have great staff and crews. Great people. Really makes it fun.
Food- Def. Bellagio.

Eye4vegas.com shows the best rates at all the hotels in Vegas. Check it out. Also there is daily tournaments at most casinos. I was in Vegas for a week over Xmas and stayed at the flamingo. 100$-300$ buy in with 1/2 blinds. Players there were fairly easy to read. Some good some bad. But fairly consistent. There's also 7 hotels that offer a buffet pass. 40$ for a day and you can go to any of the 7 buffets any time you want. Also I've heard the cosmopolitan has a really good gourmet buffet.

okay... these casino buffets. can anyone go into detail for me? being a chef and a cook I've always kinda done the restaurant thing. I've been to a few $100/pp brunch buffets but I've never done old country buffet, sizzler, and only one Chinese buffet in Florence, SC. oh, and a shoney's in Tennessee. I've never been so poor yet so turned off by food in my life.
so what is this epic spread really like? what do you typically see or not see? what's the high end stuff limited or not limited to? is it like prime rib and mediocre rock lobster tails or foie and caviar? I confess, I have never had prime rib. it's kind of my goal for this next year. last year, I had my first big mac.

Also spyonvegas.com for nightlife deals/comps.

Make sure you stop by O'Schea's and say hello to the little guy.
-
o'schea's....? is that a paddy kraut hybrid pub?

Mandalay Bay is just fine, card room is good too. It is not too far away from the action.
Palms has a decent card room and nice steakhouse.
I agree with Charlie about offstrip - Sunset is nice, Orleans is decent and low-key too.If you are looking for a stripclub, try the spearmint rhino or (the old standby that never goes wrong) the Olympic Garden.
Tek, lotsa good restaurants that are not in casinos too. I like the Foundation Room at Mandalay Bay, members only though...
