I say either put up signs saying free cats and possibly kittens with the information and stuff, or like someone said cat repelent, but please don't kill them, it's like killing a dog or a bunny or a bird, not cool and if you called animal control, just put the cats In a box with holes, and take them down to the animal control, and make sure you try a shelter not a pound...

It's called a break-barrel rifle. It's a pellet gun that requires no air cartrage and (mine) can shoot up to 1500psi. My dad bought it for me when I moved into my house. He got one to take care of some skunks that were digging up his lawn.A gun attracts attention. Don't poison cause you don't know what will eat the carcass. Get a high powered air rifle. Low noise. Will penetrate (if you do your homework and get the right one). .
I personally wouldn't shoot them as I have two of my own; but I'm not against it either. Stray cats kill something like 11 million wild brids a year. A guy I use to know would catch them in a cage then row out to the middle of his pond and (with rope attached) drop the cage. Evil I know.

Actually it is against the law in alot of cities, it's still a firearm. You can get the live traps at a local farmers suppy store or an ace hardware. They would actually be cheaper than the air rifle. I'm with ya though, I hate cats too. Does the neighbor who feeds em have a nice car? Put some food out on their car and see how they like the cats crawling all over it.ChainsawCharlie wrote:
True. But to the best of my knowledge it is not against the law to fire an air rifle within the city limits...Jim Dirt (Add A1) wrote:

Or a .22 with low velocity rounds. Won't be any louder than an air rifle.

You sure he's trying to feed them? If he's like me then he's just feeding his own cat(s) and is frustrated by the strays gobbling up the food he has to buy.

Pick them up. Drive to miles away. Throw out window. Drive home.

cats dont like the smell of acidity. citrus. vinegar. but that's not going to shut up a cat in heat.
aspca is going to be more proactive than animal control. unless you kill pregnant kittens and you need the body removed. 🐱 my pussies object. ack. eewww. ugh.
there must be shelters and organizations in your area that will assist. there are even vigilante groups that will neuter/spay feral colonies for free. I'm pretty sure firing pellets at kitties fucking tarnishes your karma. like gigantor shit stain you'll care about later in life when you go, "what is this shit stain? why is it in my hair and teeth and under my fingernails. I do not like this. ohhhhhh. yeah. those cats I shot. shit."

Punch suggested coyote urine. Any one know how that my dogs would react to this? Don't want to put something down that they will go ape shit about and want out worse!
