I know this has been batted around before...but since it appears that things will be changing soon, figured I would bring it up again.
Currently state capos are obtained by finding anomalies in the geocoder where you plant a turf that had no city. Instead, these turfs would become connected with the states they were associated with. And so, the person with the most anomaly turfs in a state would gain the capo. It appears that Nick is finally adjusting the turfs so that they no longer provide state capos. I recently lost the Connecticut capo because the turfs that were associated with that state have been given a city designation. I know other players still have state capos...I don't know if Nick started with Connecticut because that's where he's currently living or what...but it kind of sucks to get that stripped away even though I know it was an anomaly anyways. -
So...on with the discussion part of my thread...other players have brought up the idea of whoever has the most influence within a particular state should get the Capo of that particular state. That would be pretty easy for Nick to code, I would imagine. Does anyone have any other ideas for getting state capos?

I love the idea of state capos. And if you are capo of a state you dont pay police protection for any city in that state. And yes it should be total influence

Most. Capos for a state not most influence would be better. Nick just shouldn't take them away though

Having the most influence in a state to gain State Capo would make sense. That's why Nick will not be doing it in my opinion. Hell, I think people should have to pay the capo money based on their income too....bet we don't see either.

Yeah, I'll be really, really sad if I lose my Capo of South Carolina . It's at the top of my list. I have waaaay the most influence in SC. I also have capo of north carolina and also the most influence in NC.

State capos would make me play more and mob up faster which means bigger turf limit and you know what that means nick!!!$$$$

When the first geocoder update happened cities that were lost from being able to drop weren't changed to the new, they were left standing. Why change the precedent now, especially on something that everyone seems to agree they like having.

When I asked directly the reply said "There is no such thing as a state capo". I'm in the same situation, I have the most capo, most influence and was the previous capo of the province.

There is no such thing as a "state capo" - some players may appear to be because they have the most turfs in undeveloped areas of their state. If there are no no-city turfs in, there won't be an apparent "state capo".

I like what Night & T Dub said. I dunno about the most capos thing. Anyone can go drop one turf in each podunk, rural, unturfulated town and pick up extra capos. The weenie capos are nothing special. I've disposed of 20+ of those I had. Had I kept them all, I don't feel that would put me in the running for CA capo.

The sensible thing would be most influence in a city = capo; most inf in a state = state capo; most inf in a country = country capo; most overall influence = global capo. But, we have the leaderboards for that (and it's mostly just bragging rights afterall). I think parsing out the states/ provinces/other divisions world-wide might be a time sink for Nick... There's better things for him to work on!

It needs to go by total inf. in the state. Otherwise you get someone out thetewith a ton of meaningless 1pin capos taking away from someone that actually earned it.
