I don't mean to kick a guy when he's dead, and opinions on the matter I welcome, but the majority of Americans, if not the rest of the world, viewed him as a freak and child molestor for the last 10-15 years of his life. This seems to have been forgotten after his death. Like I said, I am not being mean, but stating a fact, and would like to know if anybody else feels this has been brushed aside with his early death.

MJ was never charged guilty with child molestation, and he didn't really have a choice about the white thing

Vitiligo (sp?) is the disease he claimed to have after several year of silence on the subject. But that disease makes you blotchy not white all over...maybe he had it and couldn't stand the blotches and opted to bleach the rest...but the progression of his disease was not natural

What's the most memorable MJ joke for everyone?
For some reason, the McJackson burger joke stays with me, may it rest in peace.
Have you heard that McDonalds is offering a new burger to honor Michael Jackson? A 35 year old piece of meat between a pair of 7 year old buns.
RIP.

I remember one comedian (her name eludes me at the moment) said RE his pair of one hour prime time infomercials:
"He had two hours to prove to us that he is even *remotely* normal... AND HE COULDN'T DO IT!"
That line summed it up perfectly for me.
If he wasn't so rich and powerful, he would have been institutionalized, and those kids would have been safe. He behaved like a child, believed himself to be one, and "played doctor" with his percieved peers. It was mental illness, plain and simple.
