Except for the mass of developers over the years that said screw it, my product isn't going to be still running in 2038 anyway and if so I will be retired...so they track all their counters in a smaller resolution field or cut and pasted their logic from non 64 bit code and didn't fix it. See a lot of both when looking at other peoples code :)

Important stuff gets refreshed pretty quickly. I'm not worried. Even at my agency we have it under control, and we suck.
