Note to Devs: Make an EndGame
Forums › General Discussion › Note to Devs: Make an EndGame-
Unlike Patsy Killine, I tore all my turf down and banked my 4 billion. Maybe I'll return.
I'd like to say that I had a lot of fun playing this game and spending the $200 on Respect Points.
But ultimately the game has some serious EndGame issues.
Basically there is nothing at all to do when you get "to the top". I had 4 billion and 135 turf gained fairly, and there way nothing to spend it on.
And even Vendettas wouldn't have helped because all that does is help others destroy my turfs (or vice versa). And then what?
If you look at the math, in order to capture, you need 30% more mob than the victim. Let's say you get that may invite codes... you're still unable to act in any real way unless some fool gets too close to you.
So again you are left doing nothing.
It was fun, but there's nothing to do when you get to the end.

Good points butters, though I should add that most games in this genre don't have an end game, especially the standard mafia games on the iPhone.
-
I like pie
-
Ever though about a 6 month global restart? Then turf wars would have seasons, with victory lists and fresh starts offered to all... Is this the most unpopular tw idea ever?
-
Nick, why can't you please everyone??? WTF man? I thought I saw someone say you were god...
-
Apple pie, cherry pie, pecan pie.

Nick, TW is not like most generic mafia games. if the developers have that attitude then maybe TW will stay to the standards of other mafia games on the iPhone.
Not having a dig at your efforts because unlike most, you actually communicate with us and bring us neat additions to the game. If you do bring end game to this game though, that'd blow every mafia game in the AppStore away.
And ttt has a fair idea but I doubt people would want to start from scratch again on mobbing. I personally would stop playing.
-
Butters, you're just mad because I am finaly strong enough to capture your turfs. At least I got 2 of them before they were all torn down. Farewell. Don't let the door hit you on your ass.
-
Really? If so then then he is a poor sport. 😿
-
Yeah, you say you left because you were bored but you were about to be run out of town.
-
The real problem is that butters was a farmer. He got all of his turfs by attacking noobs. He made so many new players quit before they could get into the game. His gameplay is what made it boring for him in the end.
-
As far as end game, I think the reason this game is fun overall is the social aspect. Butters got bored because he smashed everyone within 10 miles of his city no matter what. Ultimately that gets boring.
-
nick don't listen to one person's cries and mistake them for a bigger issue. butters is simply unlucky - he has no conflict or competition turf-wise. for every butters there are ten people at or around his strength that have constant activity and a drive to continue to grow. and we do grow because new people joining the game makes our mob bigger...so if new people are joining (and 'protected' by the limit on fights, etc.) and vets like me keep paying for points you can ignore the whining.
btw, i think it is patently silly to mouth off to the developers about implementing an end game yet not suggesting a single idea or alternative. i love the fact this game is endless.

Blue berry, strawberry, peach

I agree it doesnt need an endgame, but it i do think it could use some new late game mechanics. Maybe allowing capos to form more offical clans. Or some sort of city vs city mechanic.
-
$200 on respect points!?!?!?! Wow. You could have paid for your "civil union" or blew it at the strip club acting like your not a Twinkie.
I've been playing for about 3 weeks and am one of th noobs Mikey B was talking about. I was building turf and Influence until that fuckstick Butters took a short break from sucking cock to steal turf from someone who didn't blow 200 bucks on this.
I think City vs City is a great idea. I, most definitely, like pie. No endgame needed. For a free game, it is great and it is crack.
-
Butters, you are/were the problem in this game, you farm newbs (me after one week) and that makes people quit. Weaker players have zero recourse against stronger players. Why not put some randomness into the fights that would give weaker players a chance? If people continue to farm the newbs, the game will never grow. As for you butters, I think that you chose to leave now because you were about to get ownt. The game is better without you.

What's an end game? I'm assuming that it's a point you get to to where the game ends and you win... But that just sounds dumb. If it's a reset period though I totaly agree but people who paid respect points should get them back during the restart just gradually over time as they level up so it's not a huge disadvantage.
-
@butters you need to get creative that is all..
-
Nick I think prez said it best. And if butters was taking turfs no wonder the game got boring. When u realize that after taking 20 turfs u have to buy 300 points to pay off those turfs you stole. To those of u talking about getting farmed, that's what vendettas are for.
-
Lol at butters getting completely destroyed in this thread. I had no idea.
-
Wow! Not sorry to see him go - he'd attack me and my turfs more than 200 times in a day (for several days in a row, knocking me out of commission for no apparent reason. And I'd see other players get run out of town or out of the game by similar tactics.
Yes, I know it's turf wars, but someone like that can really ruin it for the other players. -
Bare knuckled cage fighting seems to be the only end game. 4 3 minute rounds. No fish hooking or eye gouging.
-
This is the best thread ever
-
Butters just didnt get the game. He bought his way to the top, completely suffocating the comunity. He wants there to be an endgame so he can "win". Columbus is already a better place to play without his crap.
-
I just got to Columbus yesterday and was kinda disappointed to find out I couldn't attack butters. I apparently missed him by an hour or two.
-
End game would be nice, but the big problem really is mobs and codes. Entering 2000 codes in shouldn't be the biggest weight in the game
-
Pie really is great though!!!!!
But on a more serious
note I don't like the idea of an end game it really just doesn't make since -
I thought Patsy Killine had the classiest end game - no surprise there since she was a classy dame!
-
Did I miss out on pie?
