I got hit from behind by a Mustang this morning. Just minor damage. I got out and smiled, asked if he was OK, and was as nice as I could be. The young guy was very sorry. We took a look at the hit, and I said not to worry about it. I wished him a nice day, and we went on with our commutes.
This kind of thing has happened to me before, also around the holidays, and it makes me feel great. I'm happy because I know I could have gone apeshit on the guy, and got insurance companys involved, and lots of people would. Hopefully he's having a great day and spreading the kindness that I gave him.
Nobody should have to get nailed to anything. Just be nice to people.
Merry Christmas Turf Wars.

Sometimes a little restraint goes a long way. Good to know it was minor.

Cool move. Good for you.

Good to know you're not hurt, you handled yourself well to!
This deserves commendment! -
A good friend got hit from behind at full speed. My friend was on the way to the hospital cause his woman was in labor. Guy that hit him said he fell asleep at the wheel, he was falling asleep at his gf's house but thought he could make it home. So my buds truck flipped and his head skin was flapping, he managed to get out of his car and sat on the curb while buddy called 911. The sleeper hangs up his phone turned to him and says "oh you look pretty bad maybe we should call 911" turns out he spent 5 min talkin to hid gf and not calling 911. Douches like that need to be run through hard. But in this case buddy sounds sincere and it seems to be an honest mistake. Kudos to you for Xmas spirit!

No Harm, no foul. Nice play. I had someone do that for me once. I was the one that tapped him. I was so relieved that It wasn't made into a big deal.

I had a really nice guy do this for me once. was in my early twenties, newly married and my husband was allowing me to drive his new 300zx. it was a probationary trial, if u will.
was carefully driving downtown seattle and approaching a long line of cars at a red-light.
being blonde and distractible, as I slowed, I noticed these fabulous jeans on sale in a store window. while admiring them, BAM, I rear end the big truck in front of me.
he was an angel though and let me go after checking his truck and my husband's car. he said no damage. I then kind of forgot to mention it to my hubby...
... until a few weeks later when he came in house yelling "what did u do to my new car?!" I was like, "I dunno what u r talking about... did someone run into it?..."
I guess he wanted to check oil or something, but was unable to open the hood.
sadly, he became my future ex-husband and yes, I did go back and buy those bitchin jeans.

I'll never forget the guy in the truck though. just shaking his head, looking dumfounded, repeatedly saying, "but how do u rear end someone at a long red-light?..."
I just kept babbling something about "...great jeans...window...sale..."

I got rear ended by a lady once and I did the same thig you did brown. I had no damage her car was bent up a bit still drivable though and we went our separate ways.
About a week later I come to find out she reported to her insurance that I had backed into her and fled the scene Big f'in mess.
I'm all about doing good deeds but I strongly suggest if your in an accident, call the cops get a police report call insurance etc. Regardless of fault or damage.
