And now you need to get back to listening to some real music. Particularly the kesha. Seriously? Just because its on the radio doesn't make it good anymore. Now the radio plays stuff so that you will buy it, not because it's good.

that riding solo song? Perfect example of what NOT to listen to. I stick mainly with old school along with rock just cuz there's alot of sense within the lyrics 😄bee ryan wrote:

and the "riding solo" song forced me to drop a class, I was in a reading class that's 3 hours long n the prof is a music lover n taught us nothin to do with readin so when we were takin an exam that we had no preparation for, she put that song on and she's like a lil kid she put it on repeat so it played like 3 times before I got up and shut it off she got mad n said she loves that song n likes to hear it so I just dropped it cuz it was either leave or finish the exam

This is real music! its called pop. Its actually nice to listen to cuz its upbeat. This post made me hurl alittle in my mouth. So just cause it isn't crappy "pop/iTunes top 10" means it isn't music? Seriously Im a huge classic rock fan and I hate modern over hyped "artists" but it's still considered "music". Saying that anything except pop isn't music is like saying anything that isn't an iPhone isn't a smartphone.bee ryan wrote:

And I believe there's a difference between music and "music." there's a difference between what is marketed by labels and MTV and what actually means something. I don't lump styles or artists or bands into one category or the other. The beatles were popular because their music struck a chord (pun intended) with a generation that felt torn and worthless because of the wars, as well as the rolling stones, etc. Music should be transcendental, not what some talking heads tell you is good to listen to.

I like old school rock, not new school bullshit that any kid with a pad of paper and pencil can write

Not all rap is bad. Look at Linkin Park and Fort Minor. Mike Shinoda raps about meaningful things, not money and girls.

Bob Dylan was a rocker and he rapped! It was on another level but it was rap!

Ima have to agree with iggy, anyone can write rhymes that talk about money drugs and hoes but it seems that it's mainly rockers Ray write things that actually make sense and are actually from the heart.
