Anyone into hiking/backpacking. Looking to see what gear you have/like/hate

Am an Eagle Scout. Used to hike/backpack a lot more back then and haven’t done it in years. All my gear is probably 10+ years old now

I got stuff. I like hammocks, and I go light as I can. My favorite is my Zpacks Arc Blast pack, a Warbonnet Blackbird XLC single layer, Hammock Gear quilts and Hammock Gear cuben fiber tarp.

When I’m in the back yard, I set up a Tensa 4.

I used to cart around a Big Agnes Fly UL3. No more ground sleeping for me though.. Sold it.

I’ve heard there’s some amazing places to hike all through Montana. If you ever get the chance, you should check it out. It’s a can’t miss opportunity if you ask me.

Bring bear spray and probably a bear gun. Also watch for rattlers. They everywhere.

I’ve had my eye on a Zpacks Arc Haul Ultra 60.
Got a Solong 6 tent because I’m 6’5”, it’s only two pounds. Now I’m looking at a Zpacks Altaplex Lite, 13.2 ounces!!

Bought a Rab Mythic Ultra 360. 20°, 21.4 ounces. It’s very nice!!

Ultralight gear ain’t cheap.

For a 10 day death march, I got my base pack weight down to a touch over 9 pounds for September. It was worth the money.
