Broken Bones! 🦴

I recently broke bones for the first time… I broke both of my leg bones connecting to my foot. My ankle is now a lot of metal. When it happened my leg was straight but my foot was facing completely to the right, barely didn’t pierce thru the skin. Tell me about your broken bones and how it healed up. Mine’s still healing so I don’t know how it’ll be yet.

I broke my arm in several places when I was 9 or so and when I held it straight out it was waving at me. My dad pulled it back into place before it could pop out of the skin. My dad set it so well I didn’t need surgery, but had few different types of casts about a year and a half. 3months or so after getting my cast off I fractured my collar bone😂

Not mine but a friend. Jumped out of an attic window (bungalow) to try to jump onto his trampoline. Being 8 and a complete eejit he, surprisingly, missed. Don’t know all the details but broke a few leg bones, collarbone and did some damage to his knee. He says it still isn’t right in some parts and he has bumps on his shin bone

I stepped backwards while holding a pint. My Rottweiler happened to be right behind me as I did it. I fell over the back of my rottie and twisted around while doings so. I grabbed the edge of the coffee table with left hand (holding the pint in my right). As I continued twisting and falling over the back of my dog I could simultaneously hear and feel each of the 4 fingers break between the fist knuckles and the wrist. Immediately following I said to the wife, they are broke let’s go. Headed to the er & they wouldn’t even give me a Tylenol because I had been drinking. 5 hours later and an xray they said yup it’s broke - go see an orthopedic- no shit - all I wanted was the referral to the orthopedic in the first place- insurance and I were billed a total of 6000 to set it & cast it for 8 weeks. 1/3 of that was the er bill- that’s why healthcare in the US is too expensive

So far so good with the stories - I made it almost 40 years without breaking any bones, then broke two at once lol - I thought it would never happen. The funniest part of the story I think is they pumped me full of tons of drugs in the ER thru my IV, to the point where I couldn’t see straight and had no idea what was going on for about 15 min. They did this so they could yank my foot back to a normal-ish setting. Literally within 5 minutes of coming down from the this craziness two nurses come in and ask me for $300 for my copay. I had no idea what was happening lol uhh… my wallet’s over there 👉

Few years ago I had an ankle injury. Now my ankle is a lot of metal too! Couldn’t walk properly for a couple of months. I still have a scar but it’s pretty much back to normal now.

A few years ago I was trying to keep this rodeo chick at short distances. She kept sitting up to high that I had to raise my pelvis cause she was reaching dangerous heights. Well to point out the shortness of my short story, she broke me.
Let me just add that it wasnt always required to stay so close. I nearly doubled my weight in my 40’s after retiring. Just think about what happens to the tip of a ballon the more air you add to it. I’m that ballon. 🥺
