My uncle thinks the earth is flat and idk what to say to something like that (I’m visiting him atm) what’s a good way to convince him he’s wrong? It’s easier to fool a person than to convince them they have been fooled ig

Honestly, not sure there is any convincing him 😅 I have had multiple arguments about this and even showed them videos of flat earthers debunking their own theories but they all end up disagreeing and still saying the earth is flat 😅

Only thing I can say is tell him to watch a boat sail from a port into an empty space of water, the further away it goes it slowly “sinks” - take binoculars to see the effect better.
Only explanation is that the earth is sphere shaped 😅

Generally speaking, people don’t completely do a 180 with positions after one argument. If it’s important to you, baby steps.

I actually subscribe to Spaghetti Earth Theory. Silly flat and round earthers. It's crazy that we found out the earth was round in 300 some BC and people still don't believe it

These people don’t really think the earth is flat. They just like to adopt a contrary position to feel special. No point in arguing with them, that’s all they want you to do.

Who’s to say his reality is the same as your reality? If he truly believes the earth is flat and all of the so-called evidence, then perhaps, in his reality, the earth really is flat.

Any scientific evidence against him is null and void as his response boils down to “the scientists are in on it” or “that’s what the media want you to think” Same guy doesn’t believe in the moon landing 🤦♂️

Centrifugal force. If the earth is a spinning ball- everything flies off. Earth as a flat plate - ate the edge of a spinning universe created centrifugal force- keeping everything in place
