When did TW die and why?
Forums › General Discussion › When did TW die and why?-
Just curious, I used to play back in 2014ish and was read through old messages and the old families thread and it all came flooding back - just wondered if there was a specific turning point I missed as it seems so many people are still so dedicated - was it just a decrease in new players?
-
Frankly I was super surprised to find an community here at all. I wish I came back sooner but the fact that there's still people kicking around from 10+ years ago is crazy. This game has long exceeded it's life span but I am glad it's still around.
-
It's strange I agree - I'm also surprised at how many new players still come in - I feel the the fact it's almost impossible to mob up to high numbers again is putting a lot of new people off - I'd love to see something that resets that a bit e.g scrapping having to accept invites so suddenly the whole database is fair game if you want to punch it
-
The community has been begging for Nick to do that for a while now, it would be nice. But he's more of a "stand back and rake in profits" kinda guy, can't blame him. He probably made a fortune off of this game by now.

It could be just a generational thing, most people today want everything for nothing, not too many “new” players put in the work. I feel a mob of 4K would be relatively attainable in not too long of a time, if the work was put to it. Think about what a 4 k mob could do to some of these players I see with under 1k mob. Rarely see many new players above 1k mob. I also don’t think that new players see or know the value of a small mob. Heck I see many with a few million dollars taking about having more money then they know what to do with. Have they ever planted a turf in a heavily populated area?

Yeah it’s all well and good to say new players don’t want to put in the effort but why in hells name would they? You can spend hours upon hours punching for a game that is dying slowly. Even if you get to something like 20k, we’ll done but here comes a 100k to rain on your parade and what can you do? You will never reach 100k.It could be just a generational thing, most people today want everything for nothing, not too many “new” players put in the work. If only Nick would fix that with something lime a Vendetta where a 4k player could range his way across a battlefield and dominate a war. Oh now I see the issue. Try playing the game the way it is designed. Turns out the big guys are the ones who get picked off but let's get back to your guys reality it sounds fun

What if you didn’t have another 100k mob for a vendetta? A v of 5 4k players still won’t beat a 100k. Rangers are useful, yes but the big mobs are essential too. Also cap skill reduces cap radius for big guys, so unless this ranger has high cap skill and lots of turf for ranging they aren’t very useful either. This means hours punching and possible hundreds of euros/ dollars/ pounds to be useful. All for a dying game, is it worth it?If only Nick would fix that with something lime a Vendetta where a 4k player could range his way across a battlefield and dominate a war. Oh now I see the issue. New players don’t have to compete with whales to have fun. A lot of people don’t spend money and don’t have to. Just a little patience is required and a yearly loot event can get you set up pretty well.

The game died?
You just lost “the game”
👌🏼

Im new to the game started end of March. Haven't spent no money and quite enjoying the challenge of mobbing up. Having a few battles here and there it's all good fun.

Tbf I joined the game last year around October and I’m close to 2400 mob, only 25/30 hench. I’ve never spent a penny on the game and it’s been fun and a good challenge.
Granted, can’t stand up to the big big players but just adds another challenge to the game

When I started (many years ago) it was the same, many players with huge mobs compared to the new guys. The big guys won’t pay attention to you unless to bring it on yourself by doing something either stupid or disrespectful. We have our own battles to fight. You need a large player to round out your V? Start making friends!Tbf I joined the game last year around October and I’m close to 2400 mob, only 25/30 hench. I started in 2022 and got to 4k base mob within one year. I was much more active at punching then, but it is still doable. Not sure what site you guys are using but I started playing 4 yrs ago and found it quite easy to add mob. Maybe try another code site?

I got 2500 mob from the cheat code that was posted in discord a year or so ago, plus the hench at anniversary event. I dont remember the code on the 2500 free hench but its enter Nicks add code in adding mob on one tab, but dont hit enter, opening the map tab on an airport turf, and then opening the reset tab on another tab. You have to hit the ap turd then hit reset & just before the account registers the reset- hit enter on adding Nick
