I am fed up with career criminals, laws and policies to protect predators and disregarding the need to protect society being a lower priority than the so call needs of an individual.
A lunatic set a car on fire and rolled it over the ridge of a ravine . That resulted in a wild land fire that blew the fuck up the 1st night forcing evacuations. By the next day it spread to the neighboring county. As of now it is the largest fire in Cali, mass evacuations-including care homes (dementia, behavioral and medically needy care homes, the elderly, families and every other person in the area). So far 85 confirmed structures burned, it’s now 14 miles away from the 3rd county line. There is not enough prison time for the devastation this asshat and low life’s like him. Abusers, embezzlers, rapists, etc. are predators plain and simple. The mentality of no fucks given except for self has to end.

When criminals are in charge of the asylum, this is the end result. Is there a solution? Yes. Is everyone ready to jump in and become the solution? Nope!! And that is the problem.

Idk about America but in Ireland a “life sentence” doesn’t mean throw away the key it means 14 years. Am I the only one who thinks that is bullshit? I hope not

Tell it to all the old lady’s and men having their life savings wiped away and cannot go out and earn again while the thief gets a 10 year sentence bit does 18 months.

Evacuation orders from the fire, as of 2 minutes ago, include areas in 4 different counties for the same fire. Butte, Plumas, Tehama and Shasta.

In just 3 days 239,152.00 acres have burned from this one fire. Last report said 163 structures confirmed burned.

To highlight the rapid spread. One square mile is 640 acres.
The current reported growth is at 5,000 acres per hour (10 square miles /25.9 kilometers squared equivalent)

For evacuations- it takes multiple hours to get people, animals in evac zones out of the area. Not to mention door to door checks by those working the fire in new hard evac zones. Which means a minimum of 20 mile radius for evacuations. The people under the new evacuation will have no place to go as the hotels will have been already filled. Not to mention housing and support coming into the area need rooms as well. Some will need to go literally go 70-100 miles to find a place to stay.

Fire has jumped the highway 36 and is heading towards 2 cities on the outskirts of Lassen National forest. Only 1 way in & out from those areas now.

On maps it is where Layne’s creek is on HWY 36 - that is the northern point of the fire where it’s running , the eastern flank of the fire spans a very long distance and continues to spread, but at a lower rate, the western flank is being pushed back by slight winds back towards areas already burned.

Mandatory evacuations just issued for areas from highway 44 going south to hwy 36. Highway 44 is the only remaining evacuation route left for folks who live in the inter mountain area west of Lassen Volcanic Park

307,368 acres 7am this morning- fire northern point stalled in Manton but hard evacs added going northeast into Shingletown and West to Cottonwood as it is expected to intensify during daylight hours. Eastern flank is 40+ miles long

Yup- the guy who started the fire should have been dealt with earlier. “According to the DA's Office, Stout has two previous "strike" felony convictions which will be charged along with whatever arson charge is determined. In 2001, The DA's office says Stout was charged in Butte County with lewd and lascivious acts with a child under 14. They say he was charged again in 2022 in Kern County for robbery with great bodily injury.”

Life sentence should be much shorter and end with a bullet. Why keep them around? Life sentence means give your life. 5-10min after the decision comes in. The only bleeding heart for these guys should be their own as they bleed out.

If evidence is largely circumstantial just lock him up on the possibility that he didn’t actually do it. Update on fire started one week short of a month ago- started by a two strike convicted felon (child molester/assualt & robbery). Last evacuation zones were cancelled yesterday- 4th largest Cali fire on the books. Thousands were evacuated for nearly a month, several hundred lost their homes and prized possessions they will never get back. Cull the herd or send him to therapy and job training at taxpayer expense?

You’re being really insensitive. Fire starting and pyromania is a disease under the ADA. Sounds like you need to be a little more understanding and respect people with disabilities a little more. - signed, a Democrat

Yes- I will burn in hell for not allowing him to move in with me and my kids and providing him with free meals, utilities, transportation, clothes, medical and also provide him with an income because no one will hire him.

I think criminality is nature’s way of culling the heard. When there are too many rats in a cage, it’s not just the bad ones that get eaten.
