Hi All just asking since i never tried. Has anyone created turfs while travelling by airplane to different airports globally to create turfs at various airports? Travelling soon to europe and wanted to create turfs at those airports and just seeing who here has done that. I think as long as phone has location turned on you can create the turfs.
I don’t know why i never tried in the past but definitely want to drop a couple at this places i’ll
be passing through.

I’m not entirely sure, but I think you have to be careful with how you time it. I think I remember reading that the game thought some of the players were spoofing. I think they got banned?? I’m unsure.

Sometimes location works while a plane is in the air, but remember you’re traveling very fast, so like when in a car and you can move outside that green zone before you put a turf down and name it, it’s possible to outrun the green zone very quickly in a plane, and the game thinks you’re no longer actually there where you clicked the + button and tapped the map to build.

So true- that’s why I can only plant while crop dusting over NYC.

“Speed” is also amplified when no longer at ground level & you are at 10,000 feet

If i travel to Italy, i can lay turfs down at the airport and else where without issues?

A lot of airport Wi-Fi is too bad to plant turf, big ones included

Also, some airports are “controlled” and if you don’t have permission to be there, you will be removed rather quickly. Check the airport in question….

FCO in Italy is still pretty accessible. As always, make a couple safeties spread out from your airport turf as soon as you’re able. Maybe don’t advertise your trip if you have adversaries with a lot of turf at the airport in question. Avoid them as much as possible in your own self interest.
