What would happen to local wildlife in cities

If humans disappeared? I know most would thrive as cities would be retaken by nature, but there's lots of animals/insects that are pretty reliant on us and our trash, would crows/scavengers continue to thrive? Or perhaps would they dwindle because there's nobody to pour endless amounts of trash into cities that used to be their forests

Almost every animal would make it. The scavengers would go to rotting animals. I'm sure there would be a ripple effect of natural selection. Same thing if the bees die out.

Whatever wiped out the humans would be sure to cause extensive damage to whatever was left.. Nuclear war, killer robots, an asteroid, woke mind viri.. Nothing over a pound would survive.

I assume they got wiring, and motherboards. We can't even keep "waterproof" phones from shitting their pants when they get wet, let alone wiring getting chewed up from rats or mice. Those little fuckers wreak havoc on cars wiring and can chew through copper wire/some small gauge steel. They won't stand a chance⫷𝕽𝖊𝖊𝖋𝖊𝖗𝖏𝖚𝖆𝖓𝖆⫸ wrote:

These leaky iPhones just hunted down and killed every human on the planet. You are failing to understand what kind of machine that would be. It’s not sheet metal and wires that can’t survive a swim in the Amazon or long stretches of desert sand. These are machines that are impervious to all the diverse weapons of man and the environment, can travel extremely quickly, and in high numbers. Way more powerful than the terminator, and no rat would put a dent in him, either.

Give me a pair of gloves and I’d fuck them up. Just me.

A lot of animals have ‘urbanised’ very recently and they would likely de-urbanise quickly too… Crows, magpies, scrub turkeys, possums (Aus) Raccoons, Squirrels and whatever else Americans have… Would all return to a wild state within a few years, populations would decrease slightly as there is less food but in short if humans just up and disappeared one day most animals would be fine

I remember a tv show on discovery about this. It chronologically gave a timeline of how the earth would take over if people disappeared. One year after, 5 years after, 10 years after and so on. The earth and the animals would thrive without humans. We are a cancer.

We are a cancer is taking it far. All animals have a drive to survive. Just happens we are so good at surviving that there turns out to be too many of us, more people use more resources to stay alive, resources get wasted and the environment is damaged.I remember a tv show on discovery about this. “a disease caused by an uncontrolled division of abnormal cells in a part of the body.” How much of that sounds like humans? -
Also most of the time cancer is wiped out by the body, not really surviving better.
