It is so sad because this game is great and honestly it wouldn’t be hard to get it back to a level of greatness. He could get this game back into a new boom of players by some few low cost things
Send an email out to old vets who have been gone offering 500 free don points to join back.
Release the ban on some old players who I’m sure would come back.
Add some events to get returning players and new join players a boost advantage that could partially get them up to speed.
Spend some small money or ads -
Something maybe higher cost look into adding some bots that we could punch codes and substantially grow our mob

Give some events and start people with 1000 don points that could get them to 10k no problem.
Would it ruffle some feathers of old heads who worked hard? Yes. But could it give rejuvenation and life into the game? Heck yes if people got on board -

Maybe return any/all don points purchased. So the big boys who spent big bucks would still have advantage and nobody loses money but it would be wild
