Is there any point to mobbing up and punching codes anymore?

It’s really more than that reefer. It depends what your goals are.
1) to be social and put down random turf but not really ever fight anyone - that’s sad - find a different hobby but no, you don’t need to punch for that.
2) to fight?
are you maxed on cap skill, stamina, energy and health?yes? Awesome you’ve already dumped tons of money into the game. By all means keep punching and get to a good ranger spot if you want to invest hours in punching so that you can one day play. But honestly the smaller the ranger the better. I always wished I had a 4k badass ranger in wars.
no? There’s no possible way you can justify spending about $1k on an app just to see if you like being a ranger. Without you having these things you’re useless
Oh and save $500 to buy a little bit of turf limit this Christmas or you won’t be able to get income to support your ranging.
All that being said the people who already dumped in this money will desperately tell you it’s worth it to try get new players in this dead app

Don't need to pay to play, find a good family who's tight knit and willing to help each other and you don't really have to worry about someone big bullying you as long as they're willing to help. Don't need to min/max either like viking is suggesting unless you want to join fungal/baic or any other big fighting family. I've had plenty of run ins with locals in small towns, some of them just want to fight some just want to exist and play the game casually. Game can be fun with low/high mob. Mob up, or don't. In the long run the game will probably be shut down by Nick, so in the mean time if you really want to just play however it is you want to play, then go for it. Want bigger mob? Mob up and save your cannolis and tool boxes for 14x loot event in November for hench.

Reefer your family ain’t doing shit. I could make destroy your alliance by myself if I had the desire.

Okay and... What does that have to do with wether or not ronin should mob up? I'm telling him he doesn't need to spend money and if he thinks he'll knock boots with someone with a bigger mob then he should find a family that can help protect. Why the hostility? Cause I told him he doesn't need to spend lots of money? Or is it that I think mobbing up isn't a bad idea?

It’s not hostility 😂. I’m just saying a family doesn’t always do it. You either have a fighting family (ok great - spend money mob up) or you have a non fighting family (it’s not gonna help you either way)Okay and... To simplify the above debate, this game has four pillars:
1. Plant turf
2. Cap turf
3. Add mob
4. Social element- diplomacy, creating allies & enemies. If one chooses not to do one or more of the above, for whatever reason, and plenty do, then thats the choice they make.
Like I said, thats it simplified, there is of course a much more complex side as touched on above. -
I'm a bit fuzzy on your stance then viking. Why don't you think he should mob up? Cause lots of people are bigger than him and spend money? Or you don't think it's worth to play the game casually?

Reefer: No more punching codes, Viking.
Viking : What?
Reefer : I said, no more punching codes. Maybe you didn't hear about it, you've been away a long time. They didn't go up there and tell you. I don't punch codes anymore.
Viking : Relax, will ya? Ya flip right out, what's got into you? I'm breaking your balls a little bit, that's all. I'm only kidding with ya...
Reefer: Sometimes you don't sound like you're kidding, you know, there's a lotta people around...
Viking : I'm only kidding with you, we're having a party, I just came home and I haven't seen you in a long time and I'm breaking your balls, and you're getting fucking fresh. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to offend you.
Reefer : I'm sorry too. It's okay. No problem.
Viking : Okay, salud.

What’s the point of punching codes if you don’t fight anyone? The only reason to have mob is to fight people. I can plant turf casually with 1 mob member. Fair play, don't really need it if you don't plan on doing anything but ronin already said they were thinking of being a semi serious player. Now, I don't know all the ins and outs like viking or anyone else that's been playing consistently for a long time. BUT! I think you should keep punching if you feel like you might be staying a while. Never a bad idea to add some mob now and again.

Also he’s perfect size. A 5k serious ranger with cap skill and Brens would be a game changer in a war. The alliance with the more serious smaller players has the advantage in line fighting. Typically that line is just littered with mules who log on once or twice a day max.Fair play, don't really need it if you don't plan on doing anything but ronin already said they were thinking of being a semi serious player.
