So in another post it was suggested that everyone turn their turf color black in show of the eclipse and anyone whom does not change to black shall be capped without consequence. I think it’s a good idea what do 🫵🏽 think ? Leave comments below. I will be participating in this new found even recommended to bring some life back into tw.

Well as I had suggested about the “Black Out” on Monday April 8, 2024, I think it would bring something different, new and fun to TW. The idea of capping those who did not turn turfs black possible could be capped. It would make things very interesting if in war. I hadn’t thought that far into the idea, also how long will it last, is this a yearly event we do? Suggestions would greatly be appreciated.

What happens to all the inactives that can't change their color? Or do we make sure to check and not cap inactives?

That’s a good question, that I don’t have an answer for. But being they are inactive maybe take 1? Capping inactives messes with turf income especially if you tear that turf down. But they went inactive for a reason. 🤷♂️

Or perhaps a mass Exodus of players who don't surf the forums and getting capped out of places to their point of view, for no reason. Gotta be a way to do something like this that won't affect those who don't care about the forums much. Cause as much as I like the idea, there's lots that will be quitting or whatever cause someone capped them out of places during a event that they didn't know about

That’s why I said there may not be enough time to get this done in 2 days. Some people don’t check in everyday. So maybe this thing gets pushed back?

Another idea is just turn turfs black and not cap any inactives but proceed with normal daily activities, even capping for those who are in families or whatever.

Or perhaps, black active turf are fair game. Gives a way to say "I'm part of the event" and cap whomever you feel like during that period without having people who aren't part be affected getting into capped. Maybe family rules about not starting shit in family or between clear rival families

I'd say probably a hard limit on someone who can't cap you back, just to be fair. As someone who's low mob it wouldn't be much fun if all my turf got taken within an hour. Probably would need some sort of a limit even if you can cap back just so people don't get big mad or destroyed completely by the whales of the game or capped completely out of areas that don't have airports.

As much fun as it would be we don't want people quitting because of the event. Although it is easy to change color and hop out of the event but there might have to be rules around that too so people don't change color back and forth to confuse or use it as a sneaky strategy

Maybe once you're in you're in, not allowed to change back, but you can only cap x amount of turf from one person, perhaps a day, and a smaller amount if they can't cap back. Possibly a % of total turf or something along those lines. But yea maybe the first one should be tame but I still think it would be good for the health of the game if everyone who is in the event capped to some extent. Like 20% of their total turf in a given area, and cannot cap someone's last turf in an area so it gives a chance to rebuild when the event is over

Maybe up to 50-60% if they can cap back, even if they need to use a vendetta to get there.

What if we keep things simple this go around: Anyone participating must go black. Those who don’t go black, may only have 1 turf capped. 1 turf from inactives, but participants may be capped. Number of turfs is still undetermined And post on the capped persons comments, “Happy Black 🌑ut.”

True, I was putting too much thought in lol. But, if everyone likes the event 2-3 solar eclipse happen somewhere in the world every year. Might be a good base for more events in the future

That a fattie capped the shit out of, and I can still log into that account if I charged the phone.

Plus there's lots of "historical" turf that shouldn't be touched out of principal of it, like players who passed etc. that shouldn't get touched either way. If we say "go ahead" we will lose lots of things that might genuinely make people sad to lose.

2. Cap 1 from inactives
3. Proceed with normal daily activities.

Idk I just don't really see the fun in a "cap inactives" day. Plus, why send the happy blackout if they don't play anymore?

Who’s know if they play? They may come back 1 month or 1 year from know and see the post. This would be world wide.
