So NASA is announcing today they discovered a new life form. Google it!

Is it glman and pigy back gang interbred to create a super troll?
-
Nah just bacteria with DNA made of arsenic, not phosphorus. Still interesting
-
Can't find it

Now that was hilarious! -
That's dope!!
-
Interesting..not necessarily new life, just a new way life can form
-
Bacteria meh, you can read it on yahoo news.
I wish they would just show us some aliens or something.

I thought it was a hoax at first. But seriously, ALL life as we know it uses phosphorous to build DNA. Yeast, bacteria, mushrooms, jellyfish, fish, dogs, squid, plants, insects, etc. all have phosphorous in their DNA. All DNA is so similar that we can make puppies that glow in the dark by inserting jellyfish DNA. This is really a new life form (even though it's only a "bacteria"Bacteria meh, you can read it on yahoo news.

Yeah it's pretty awesome. They said they are gonna have rewrite the books. I just took biology in college, interesting stuff, micro biologists are gonna be psyched for years.
-
So this could potentially aid DNA rebuilding to help with currently inurable illnesses?
-
I don't think so, we know how to insert DNA into living things to give them new abilities which may cure currently incurable diseases. This discovery confirms a once fantastical thought that life could be based on something other than CHNOPS. This opens the door to the possibility that there could be life on other planets based on something other than what was created here.

Ahh ok gotcha on that. But arsenic is a metalloid element right, not actual metal but has similar properties? How have they made it sustain lifeform? I'm gona have to google it
tomorrow. -
Not up on my chemistry, but I'm pretty sure it has similar chemical properties due the same number of valence electrons. Any chem major wanna clear this up?
-
So have we completely destroyed it yet? Only a matter of time
-
I feel like we've spent so much time searching and speculating the existence of this very type of life form, it was only a matter of time. I just want to see moon and mars missions before I die.
