Rude customers

Anyone have any good rude customers service stories? Had a very rude one today that ruined my mood but it's not nearly as good as one a few years ago. She asked me to fix her tape gun she bought, so naturally, I put it together, and use some tape to show her that it was, indeed working. She started screaming about the price of tape and how dare I use some of her tape. I said yes but I had to use it to make sure it was working, and mind you, I used like maybe 3 inches of packing tape. She then told me to shut up, and I am not to speak to her. I am to be spoken to and seen only, and how dare I even speak to her. Like I was nothing compared to her. killed her with kindness the next time she came in, and returned her decorative pen that she left to the day of and she was grateful and seemed almost forget the vile shit she said to me.

Worked in the retail/ fast sood business for 5 years. Everyone should do it from October thru February. Then they would be more tolerable people. That screaming Karen/ Dave needs to become extinct. BTW, thank you Walmart for the ol' "customer is always right" pitch.

Yea thankfully I'm at a local business so we don't really play they whole "customer is always right" bit when they're rude. When I told my manager about that she was like "why didn't you tell her to get out? Don't take that from customers." But I can't bring myself to stoop to their level I just try and make sure they're happy and let my boss handle the rest if they're still being assholes

Too many to post here.

Yep. One pretty recently. He wasn’t overly rude, but I guess enough to to mention. Context, I work as a waiter as a breakfast place.
This guy had ordered some food, think it was an omelette. I asked if he wanted any toast with it, and he told me no. Brought out the food, everything was fine. Frequently checked up on their table to make sure everything was good. Then, I bring out the bill. The man turns to me and says in a surprisingly rude voice (he had been polite the entire time), “You forgot my toast, take it off my bill.” I explained to him two things: Toast is free when it comes as a side, and that he had never asked for toast. He said he did. I wasn’t up to argue, so I offered to bring some out for him to take home. He said there wasn’t any point now, and that he’d be leaving a review online about me in specific.
Very weird experience. -

Worked in a restaurant for 8 years while I was in college. Lots of terrible people.
Luckily now that I own my own business I just charge the rude ones more. It’s easy to smile while someone is being rude to you when you know they’re paying 3-5x the price.

Literally fresh from Iraq at a Starbucks trying to figure out school shit. This kid tossed his money coins and all onto the counter blurts his order and turns to his friend. I collected it. Then pelted the first penny back against his head. Told him don’t ever disrespect someone like that again.🤘😶🌫️🤘 wrote:

I had the opposite experience. I was getting a bite to eat with friends and we went to a small cafe. We wait about a half an hour for the food and when it comes out they had messed up my and my friend’s order (we both asked for burgers without the toppings they normally had there) and I mentioned it to the waitress. My friend does the same 1/2 mins later and she goes “what is your problem?” Then later I gave a €2 tip (small but didn’t like food or service) then she goes “is that all?” While glaring at me, I was probably in the wrong in her eyes but it was annoying

Nah, asking what's your problem after you say they messed up the order is super rude. Didn't deserve a top as is with that attitude. I don't tip at all if they're rude they're lucky they got your two dollarsI had the opposite experience. I was getting a bite to eat with friends and we went to a small cafe. Had wrong food served to me once. My fiancé at the time threw a fit. The waitress explained the situation and then it was realized it was an understandable mistake. Got our food for free because of the companies mistake. Which really made it all right. Left the waitress a $20 tip for all that.

Good! Probably made her night. One of my exes would throw fits over small stuff in restaurants and I always felt so embarrassed I had to leave good sized tips. Realized one night when she was like "no let's go here, they have to stay open for us legally if we're in a few minutes before closing" that she was NOT the one for meHad wrong food served to me once. Yup. I indulged her since I was young(18 when she was 26) and dumb but I felt so bad afterwards I promised myself to never ever be that person again and she showed me what BIG RED FLAGS looks like in a person lol
