👍. People always complain about price. However for $20 for the initial app with loads of included amps and pedals is a steal. And having to pay a few extra bucks for a pedal or amp is more than fair. Ive often wondered where the complainers get their gear. Because any real musician knows good gear costs $. Amp+ + iRig = Deal of the Century.

Well I play bass mostly and when I was a teenager heavy into industrial I ran her through some pedals...but clean bass sounds the best...however the option to fuck around from time to time is cool. With irig I wouldn't have to go buy expensive pedals that won't get used much. So other then effects does Irig do anything else? Can you capture your riff or edit it down or anything like that?

Yes. You can record as well as play along to music from your device. (however note you need a computer with active Internet to upload.) all in all a preaty solid app. And a great tool when on the go. Nothing can nor will fully replace the texture and tonality of a actual amp but this comes pretty damn close.

I'm a bassist, playing in a metal band ATM. you don't know how much of a relief it is to be able to take a mini recording device with you, without forking over hundreds.
True, I'm not a huge pedal fan, bu I use a slight overdrive tweak sometimes to get some crunch to my lines.
Unless I play a five string. That has all the crunch I need.
