Anyone have any cool coins they'd like to share? I'm a big fan of wheat pennies, oldest one I got is a 1919. Been wanting to get into collecting silver but haven't had the money to buy rounds yet

My mam has most of the coins from 1c - €2 for every country in the EU

I got a good few older UK coins. I also have a £5 coin. I don’t even know if it can be used as money or if it’s just a memorial thing.

I have a few Malibu grand Prix’s

I have a whole bunch of pennies back to 1901. I like the steel pennies, Lincoln Wheat cents made in 1943. That year, the U.S. Mint made pennies out of steel in order to conserve copper for the war effort in World War II.

Yup! Love steel pennies. And if you find one of the copper '43s then you're rich since they weren't supposed to be made in the first placeI have a whole bunch of pennies back to 1901. I have a couple coins from fascist italy and germany, some shekels from Israel. Couple cool coins from all over the place. I have a coin commending the first US minting which I think is neat. Also stack silver and some gold

I have a few gold sovereigns from Austria years 1912/1915 that my parents left me. Those are worth a couple hundred bucks. The price on the cardboard holder shows $10 for the 1915 and $15 for the 1912’s. I have a few 1880’s silver dollars but they aren’t worth much. Just kinda cool to look at and think who might have used them during that era.

As to which detector to use, I believe they told me, £1300 and up would be good enough, also to have 2 different detectors, then there's the hand held one to pin point the metal when you dig.
All in all, FB best bet. -
Good idea, thanks.

1880s silver dollars are worth at least $20 each. Depends on condition and date

I have a 1914-D penny but it’s not in the best shape. I would like a 1909-S VDB, but probably never will.

My dad found a 1909 s-vbd when he was a lad, back in about 1935

I have a pretty cool coin collection. Mostly US coins. I have every coin from 1998 to current in graded 70 condition by NGC. But my favorite is probably the Gold Kennedy commemorative…

I have Admiral Mullins’ Chief of Staff Coin (Military Coin). I just happened to be right place right time.
