What's your staple seasoning while cooking
-
And why is it cumin
-
1. Tony Chachere’s creole seasoning
2. Slap ya Mama cajun seasoning
3. Cavenders greek seasoning -
Not all at once but each have their place.
-
Hmm haven't heard of those but that slap ya mama Cajun one sounds awesome lol
-
I don’t do a lot of cooking but my thing is smoking meats (most Definitely a beginner). I add coriander to my rub. Tis nice.

These days I also use a lot of:
Ginger, turmeric, cayenne, El Mexicano pico de gallo hot seasoning, Johnny’s garlic spread & old bay -
Chaat masala is always nice

After experimenting with everything over the years you always go back to the good old dalmatian rub in the end.

Fully agree here except that I am not familiar with Cavenders and would choose Conecuh (who also makes the best store bought sausage and only kind I like besides deer sausage).1. Tony Chachere’s creole seasoning

I do love deer sausage, but i enjoy andouille, and some brats, i also have a friend that makes chicken & apple sausage and jalapeno and cheese sausage. I will have to check out this Conecuh.

:) on the conechuh website, under their recipes “conecuh sausage throw down”. We just made that exact dish a few days ago. Of course not with conecuh sausage but it was still great.
Was actually done with crab boil, and slap ya mama. Dusted it with tony’s after it came to the table.
