I recently went on a trip with my wife within my home country where we flew on a plane. I tried planting turf along the way to see if it could be done. It was impossible for me to do. I’m just wondering if any of you have tried it and if you were successful?

Went on a work trip a few months ago - Was possible the first few movements you ascend after take off and when you are descending arriving at the airport facility.
Anything else was also impossible

It is possible while using a 9720 Samoa WHT at 9720 Samoa WHT. Unfortunately it would require a power source of 1.21 gigawatts of electricity. Due to supply chain issues, flux capacitors are hard to come by these days. It may be easier to use a lightening strike.

Just kindly ask your pilot to keep it at around 5000 ft and you should be fine.

Several years back, the wifi on a trip had my location in the Atlanta airport for the entire flight. More recently, I have been able to drop where I actually am. I believe it works if you stay by the window and you maintain a GPS signal, which seemed to override the wifi location. I left a widespread trail from Seattle to Baltimore.

Groucho is a pilot and I know he used to be able to drop turf when flying all the time. Idk if it still works for him

I think it has to do with speed of movement. The planting radius can’t keep up with how fast you’re going. So once you get a valid plant location, if you don’t get it planted fast enough, it invalidates the location. Happens to me when I’m driving sometimes. Exactly- plus add in the accuracy of geo location on the surface vs at 2,000-30,000 feet. Planting on a road at 45 mph is much easier than at 85mph. Planting at 200-500mph, while at altitude is sus.
