Round trip flight from San Fran to Atlanta. The length of time for the flights going each direction was the same. What direction is the the earth’s rotation? Does this mean the earth is really………..

In actuality, to a pilot, the two leg enroute times would be very different when viewed more precisely, but to a passenger they would feel “about” the same… so no, the earth isn’t flat you moron. Haha jk

You pilots claim you can see the curvature of the earth, while at altitude, from looking out the cockpit glass. While at the bar I looked at my thumb holding my highball glass. It looked exactly as my thumb should.

However as I held the glass up and looked at the barkeep across 12 feet or so, mainly due to ignoring the empty glass in front of me, he was distorted and looked like a a round dwarf with disportionate extremities and could be mistaken for a spherical creature

The earth rotates every 24 hours right? So everyday at noon the earth is facing the same direction. Right? Right.
But wait, the earth rotates around the sun, so after 6 months at noon shouldn’t you be facing away from the sun?
