How many people still play this game
Forums › General Discussion › How many people still play this game-
I know the game has been around a while, I played in 2010 for a bit. I ask as punching codes from 2016 now and hardly getting any new mob members so wondering if it's even worth it. Must have punched a few hundred and seen the mighty mob grow by about 7 lol. Is it really worth spending time punching codes from 2015, 2016, 2017, etc?
Also, how active are the existing members and do the mods / owners think it could be a good idea to perhaps delete some of the older acxounts that have not been accessed in years? Just thinking out loud. I'm happy just plodding away with my son so nothing too serious here

Your asking the question we all been asking since 2010
-
It’s still possible to gain mob, yet it’s more of a fraction compared to the noob rush of 2012-2013. Don’t bother with old historic codes, since there’s not that many active players. Temp codes are pretty consistent recently so it’s possible to get a few hundred a month.
-
Sorry, what are the temp codes and how do they work?
I had an old account and can still see my one remaining turf lol
Wouldn't it be better for there to be a general clean up of the old inactive players? Do the Deva add any new developments to the game or is it pretty much left static nowadays?
-
Devs not Deva sorry
-
dwindling communities are the best communities

Here mate head to this site. Create an account of you don’t have one already. Navigate the top tabs to ‚temps‘ punch them daily. https://mobcodes.turfwarsapp.com/view_temp_codes.php

If they delete all old/inactive players than the entire game economy would change as well as everyone’s mob count. When accounts are deleted you’ll lose that mob member and their turf is erased, less Turf on the map = less income p/hSorry, what are the temp codes and how do they work?

Already on that site, that's where I've been getting codes from.
Yea I get that also regarding the removal of older accounts, but if there aren't many people playing currently and no current or recent game improvements, what are we missing by deleting some old inactive accounts? Like I said, I started previously in 2010 and still see my old turf (x1) that I left. If there isn't any game updated why do we need 1,000,000,000 income for example? I'm not slating anything here by the way, just having a discussion :-)
-
Ah well that’s where you will find ‚Temp‘ codes which are for the most part produced daily (well recently anyway).
I hear some updates could be used, it’s nothing new, everyone is on the same page as that. But deleting old accounts would cause backlash so I can’t see that happening
-
You’re an example of why deleting old accounts is a bad idea.
-
Why? Care to elaborate anymore ?was a simple question
-
Say you have an area with an old player as capo of everything and a mob of 50k that hasn't played in 4 years...where is the incentive for new players ? How does a new player progress?
-
Does the game not require new players???

So you would wipe out all of the time, effort and possibly money just because a player hasn’t played for a certain amount of time. Guess it doesn’t matter what the reason might be. Change of job or work schedule, injury or illness, newborn baby, maybe just tired of the game and wanted time away or perhaps any other of dozens of reasons why. It’s not as if there hasn’t been instances of players coming back after being gone for extended periods of time.Say you have an area with an old player as capo of everything and a mob of 50k that hasn't played in 4 years...where is the incentive for new players ? I'm an example of a player from 2010, some 13 years ago coming back. I didn't keep all my turf under my old account. I also mentioned a longer time frame than say 6 months or a year (I used 4 years as an example). I guess it's a balancing act isn't it...balancing the needs of those who have been here and potentially spent money in the past against the new players coming in, who may be more likely to spend money now...
I would add that I'm not advocating for old accounts to be cleared...I simply asked a question and gave an example (not that the example relates to my situation) and asked how would a new player progress..

So wipe out all inactive accounts? Would also have yo remove alot of the hench people have bought or acquired. And what you exactly would be accomplished??? People would end up with same mob sizes? Except for noobs and it would be “easy” for them to catch up? wow. Entitled prick. Another one that doesnt want to put in time or effort and wants shit just given to them. Lazy ass. Gtfo.
-
Same as soo many others. Want the quick answer. Screw everyone else that did it the normal way, i want shit now. Now now now. Nevermind the fact the mechanics of this game is in favor of the smaller mobs. 50k mobster, no skill points spent. No brens. Gets ranged by little guys with brens, and even big guys with cap skill. So mr 50k spends. Max cap skill, max brens. Small guys range but now he can range and cap bigger mobsters. But to avoid these smaller guys beating him, he must grow. The more he grows, the fewer big mobs are above him. Less for him to range and cap. More smaller mobs capping him. Eventually hes so big no one is left for his advantage. Smaller mobs either range him or V him. Reset…

That's the beauty of an opinion..everyone can have one ;-)

Entitled prick. Another one that doesnt want to put in time or effort and wants shit just given to them. Sorry where exactly did i post that? Where did I state please, oh please give me everything on this mobile game now? Absolutely nowhere. Simply asked a question but appears it's touched a nerve so forget I asked folks.

Damn not much has changed since 2010 it appears....
-
nope. still takes effort. go figure.
there was people in 2010 that wanted it that way too. i figure you are one of those.
auto mob , or auto accept... blah blah blah. if players would actually PLAY the game... when you are new don't look at the giants and expect to be ready to play on their level. they were once small too. they took the time, put in the effort and learned the game. they didn't just quit. oh... and patience. if you spent a day or a week or month slow hopping across a state, and when you reached your destination you got capped out in 5 mins.... would you quit? to see your effort just erased so quickly? that sort of thing happens quite a bit. people are hunted and removed from areas. you make friends. you make enemies. you get involved in actual fights or wars and you help people out and they help you. it doesn't matter your mob size. play the game according to where you are that day and the rest will come. -
take it with a pinch of salt slugger. capos can easily be over turned. theres no real advantage to deleting old accounts. i too am just returning from circa 10 years ago (apart from the occasional stint) id be pissed if my account had been wiped for inactivity. the way the game is operating now, its in favour of the little guy. i get my arse kicked my players with 10-15k less mob than me. deleting old account wont solve any issues. theres never been a bigger incentive for new players who actually take 5 minutes to learn the game mechanics.
-
Nope u figure wrong lol but thanks for leaving your code on my wall lol 😂
-
Danny it's water off a ducks back 😂 too many gangsters on here
-
Ultimately I asked a question, that's all. I haven't asked to make life easy, or not add codes..heck my first post was asking is there any point in typing codes from 2016/17 to which responses were no...I them get accused of being all manner of evil and wanting to bring about the apparent end of days. Genuinely, forget I asked and be happy...it is after all, just a game.
-
dont sweat it man. you are set and good to go on the code punching site, hit the temps daily. punching historic codes wont have anywhere near as good of a turn around but you may get a few. have fun and enjoy your game.
-
No bother here Danny, can happily take it and or leave it buddy. It will take more than a few words on an app to get me going. Likewise, you win some and others you don't. Just didn't see the need for the rush of animosity from people on here who have no idea about the person they are speaking to...if the game is looking for new players and ways to support them (as I've read in other posts) then jumping on new people (even when they aren't really new) isn't one way to go about it...
-
Hey at least this post got me some more invites and mobsters lol 🤣
-
Are punching codes from several years ago worth it? It’s up to the individual. There will be a very low return rate but it all depends on how much you want that extra mob member or two or three. Plus, every so often a player who has been inactive will stop by and might actually accept their invites.
-
You gain less mob these days but luckily its even easier to almost double your mob if you do the anniversary event right.
