What do you have or recommend? I’ve never had one but I want to buy. At the same time I don’t want something cheap that I will soon replace anyway. Any recommendations?

Metal in general or gold? (I’m only interested in gold…I do a lot of panning and sluice and keep wondering about detecting)

The equinox 600 finds gold very well. If you’re looking for tiny nuggets then get the 800 it has a mode for that specifically. I find jewelry quite often but there’s no small nuggets where I’m from.༼།༠༦༣༩༽ wrote:

Cool. Will check it out. (Lots of tiny nuggets here but really tiny. Lol)

The gold prospecting mode on the 800 is designed for just that. A group I’m in on Facebook has found nugs the size of a pencil lead or smaller… if you are not prospective though the 600 covers it all. They are both multi-frequency which helps determine what it is better than most machines. If you wanna go super expensive there’s the ctx-3030 and the gold monster but they are like $2k where the equinox is around $700-$900.Cool. Will check it out. Get a good pinpointer to, it will save a lot of time. The Garett carrot is highly recommended. Around $110-120
