The police fella says the shooter had a rifle and a witness said they heard some arguing. I’m not in the US hence why I have a genuine interest in the details here as there seems to be two very different opinions going on in the US as far as I can see - Those who say we need more checks n controls in place to stop unnecessary shootings, and others who believe more guns are needed to protect themselves from others who also have guns. It’s hard for me in a country where we don’t have loads of guns and therefore the huge number of shootings, to try to comprehend some of the comments on here hence why I ask the questions. I have gained incite on the right to bear arms, but am still really struggling with what to me seems like a stubborn refusal by many in the US to look at the facts on shootings and react to deal with the issue. To compare the scenario with Covid, it’s like the gun control voices want the vaccine roll out, whereas the pro gun set say we need more tissues.

On perfect example of what we are explaining to you is on what all the released camera footage coming out from the Uvalde school shooting… do not rely on your own government to save you. In fact in the real world no one most like will not save you from attacks. In America, you have that freedom to protect yourself from domestic & foreign threat. Even if you argue that you have fully disarmed your populous, the government will have you by your knees at every command you will bend to their will, the goes the same for any threat that crosses your boarders that do not care about your “gun free country laws”. You will be conquered eventually, its only a matter of when. As for the mall attacker, the gun free signs did not create a forcefield stopping the shooter. A good guy with a gun did.
