I wouldnt doubt our CIA had their hands in it as well.US, Europe, and Nato said the Russians would utilize false flag attacks in Ukraine during February via explosive attacks as a justification to invade.
Today separatist warning sirens blared urging civilians to flee as a car bomb went off near a separatist building and artillery shelling heavily increased along Eastern Ukraine.
Additionally, the leader of Belarus has openly stated he will host "super-nuclear" weapons.. whatever the fuck that means

Putin screwed up. If he attacks Ukraine it won't do him any good, there are no resources there. Holding such a big coutry is extremely expensive and Russia is broke. When Putin pulls away he looks like an idiot. He will go for some bad deal and claim it's a good one and present himself as a hero.
He's had his soldiers at the border for months, why isn't he attacking? Because he knows he screwed up. -
This whole charade was just to pressure EU and see what happens. But exactly the opposite happened, Sweden and Finland want to join the EU, Poland has drastically increased military spending, as well as all other countries bordering Russia. Exactly the opposite of what Putin wanted happened. Putin screwed up.

So by your logic Russia, despite being a "poor" country, moved hundreds of thousands of troops onto a country's border with no game plan whatsoever other than "to see what happens"... but also they wanted to weaken the EU and persuade his neighbors to spend less on their military???Yeah read it up faggots. Could learn something
That makes no fucking sense.

his last G7 meeting did not go well in my book, curious to see how that goes. as far as “punishment against russia, idk if i can agree from a US standpoint, i don’t believe we have any legitimate obligation here, and seemingly democrats have been rather anti war recently, so this is an odd one imo. seemingly both nations have valid reasoning behind all of this, the bigger fear is what happens afterwards, does this cause a bad chain reaction? is my ass about to get drafted? i feel there are so many unknowns still. someone gimme some opinions, im almost unsure what to think, id like to hear some perspectivesBiden is planning a G7 meeting tomorrow to discuss the crisis.

ok i will openly admit i don't know the full back story on the russia ukraine situation so sorry for any leaps or gaps in logic. Russia... had funded rebels against the ukraine inside their country. ukraine "shells" them and russia wanted war for that? Like i'm going to come in your house, punch you in the face and then if you respond it's all out war... is that right? and russia doesn't recognize them as a legitimate country or sovereign nation? And the reason russia is pushing so hard is for strategic military value? even if they take ukraine, doesn't nato protect the rest of europe? how does taking ukraine stop a response if you attack anyone else that is a protected nation? i don't see the logic there. what political value does ukraine have for russia?
-
please take it easy on me. use small words and go slow. remember, i'm dense ;)
-
I'm sure russia has a strategy that headline news and the rest of us are not aware of. Things usually run deeper that what you see on the surface.
-
I assume people think if russia takes ukraine it will give them easier access to the eu countries? but bordering or not doesn't prevent a military response from nato nations. if they take ukraine people are afraid all of europe is lost?
-
What is the background to the conflict?
Ukraine, which was part of the Russian empire for centuries before becoming a Soviet republic, won independence as the USSR broke up in 1991. It moved to shed its Russian imperial legacy and forge increasingly close ties with the West.
A decision by Kremlin-leaning Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych to reject an association agreement with the European Union in favour of closer ties with Moscow led to mass protests that saw him removed as the leader in 2014.
Russia responded by annexing Ukraine’s Crimean Peninsula and throwing its weight behind a separatist rebellion that broke out in Ukraine’s east.

Estonia, Lativa & Lithuania all have significant minority Russian speakers but are EU & NATO members.
It is said Putin wants to re-establish the old Soviet block. -
so all these nations have a small part that want to be part of russia again? and russia is pushing to make that happen.

I read a little about the financials, them wanting russia to be removed from SWIFT. how much would this REALLY hurt the US and German market?? i read they have been threatening that since 2014 when that event happened, and russia has been planning on it since. What is the background to the conflict?
