What broker do you use?
Forums › General Discussion › What broker do you use?-
Ive been using TDAmeritrade for years now, and ive had some thoughts of opening a webull account so i can jump in the crypto market. But they sketch me out. Td only wanted ssn and work info for taxes. But webull wants an actual image of my driver id. And it just rubs me the wrong way. Any thoughts? Webull trust worthy?

Coinbase. Security is more important to me than the number of coins I can invest in. Just my preference though.

coinbase is good, ensure you have google authentication or verification, i forget the exact term they use. maximizes safety. i’d recommend keeping TD, then coin base in addition for the crypto ventures, personally what i do. sometimes to get the ones u want it takes more than just coinbase but u can download as u go, mostly shitcoins and stuff like that if ur even interested in those

I have both webull and robinhood. Webull is definitely better if you're trying to be more analytical and be more active in managing your portfolio. I stopped trading crypto and have mainly invested in blue chips on robinhood. Great because you can buy fractional shares on there, but not on webull (not sure if that also applies to crypto on webull).

I think what they do is shitty, but I don't day trade or do any of that weird pump and dump shit anymore. If we're being honest, the gamestop and AMC events were essentially a barely legal pump and dump scheme, except enough people held to prop it up (probably because they froze trading)℣į₭ϊ₦Ǥ👹 wrote:

Brokerage houses will always look out for themselves and their largest accounts. .5 percent of 10 billion means a lot more than 5% of a few hundred thousand

As a trader of common stocks and stock options, I need 3 basic tools. A stock screener to bring me charts and setups I’m looking for, sophisticated charting software, and a brokerage that will transact the types of securities I want to trade. ThinkOrSwim does all that in one package.

I bounce back and forth between thinkorswim and the td app. I dont know why they dont combine the apps.
