But…. What if he could have left like 2500 troops there (like we have in multiple other countries) and kept supporting Afghan only ground units though mostly drone air support and we could have kept a foothold in the country to stop the resurgence of isis and al-Qaeda? All with no true danger to US troops.Ive herd the argument that we left our shit behind because it’s cheaper to make it than it is to ship it back. I dont know i buy that. But i havnt done any dd on how true that is. But i think pulling out was the right call. Just shit execution. Why the fuck are we sending our soldiers, our families, our sons and daughters over to fight for the freedom of others, to spend 20 years teaching them, just to watch them give the fuck up. Less than a day after we leave.
Then would you have supported staying?

Please ignore the OANN they’re generally an idiot news source. It’s the only link I could find for the new anti-Biden video ad. It’s brutal.

Our troops… WTF is the UN for and what good are NATO forces if not to oversee the transition of control in a civilized and peaceful manner. Who has been the major financer of NATO and the UN ? Who has been paying for the other countries… so interesting that after those countries were called out for having a voice, vote and say so on UN matters, they tend to skip out thru the back door when the checque is presented. How odd, indeed, that NATO and UN were invisible during the transition.

I’m telling you this was all calculated. A 5 year old could’ve put this together. Calculated, planned, pre meditated, scheduled whatever you wanna call it. But that’s what it is.

A country like ours doesn’t make mistakes. This was all a calculated fuck up mark my words but I just can’t for the life of me figure out why.
This was planned you are correct. But some may not like the answer. War is profitable. Companies make shit. Government buys shit. We export shit we inport shit. Weve been at war for 20 years knowing full and well that it has no resolution. May people are pissed that tax payer money has been uselessly spend on a conflict that is clearly going nowhere. So whats the response? “Leave” remove our troops, remove our people and in the chaos “leave” our shit. Guns, vehicles, oopse i “accidently dropped that top secret file about government contracts. Ohhh noooo. The evil taliban. I guess we have to reinvade to save lives…. You see what im getting at here? -
Sorry that was supposed to be a quote from simcoe. I didnt do it right.
-
And look what happened. “OH MY GOD WHY DID WE LEAVE! WE NEED TO GO BACK ASAP! Needed an excuse to stay and now we have one.
-
I agree war is money making machine.
“Those who don’t believe it are either in on it, or stupid”
But where I was actually trying to get at was the timing of pulling out now. Why now? Probably something political, or to be honest, something we have no idea about yet.
-
Oh I understand what you are saying. I dont quite get it either. Obama said he would do it and instead attacked more, trump never really made it an agenda and almost did it, and biden never mentioned it and actually did it.
-
Best guess its an under the table agreement. Ill give you this if you do this.

Yay more dead brown people. Thanks joe you did it.
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. military said on Friday that a drone strike in Kabul last month killed as many 10 civilians, including seven children, and it apologized for what the Pentagon said was a tragic mistake.
Senior U.S. officers had said the Aug. 29 strike that took place as foreign forces completed the last stages of their withdrawal from Afghanistan targeted an Islamic States suicide bomber who posed an imminent threat to Kabul airport.
“At the time of the strike, I was confident that the strike had averted an imminent threat to our forces at the airport,” U.S. General Frank McKenzie, the head of U.S. Central Command, told reporters. “Our investigation now concludes that the strike was a tragic mistake.”

Hate to break it to everyone but it won’t get better and it’s going to continue spiraling and getting worse until this country isn’t even recognizable to what it used to be. And then some other power structure will absorb it once it’s at its weakest and it’ll be a new era.
I *hate* the country I grew up loving. I despise it.

what’s wild to me is what the fuck happened to the news. i just feel like when i was little and my mom cut the news on it was just an hour of what happened in the world. just facts. no red or blue ties or out right favoritism towards one side.
why? i feel like there is some law or some for media to tell the truth or be unbiased but i feel like it’s just a fever dream.

Its quite amazing. Go in with drones painted with the vengeance of red white and blue to bomb children and call them “Isis-K”.
The level of sick is beyond my imagination with this.

I mean.. but like.. Trump and Obabay both did that though. And you never had issues with it before.. something like what, 47k civilians have been killed in the last 20 years. If i had to guess mostly from drone strikes.

I definitely agree with AUG. I can recognize that obama won nobel peace prize in ‘09, biden medal of honor in 2017. I would say neither were deserved. Trump had the Middle East Peace deal with Israel, UAE, Sudan, there were some other countries that signed i can’t remember all of them. Also the only guy with the balls to go speak to leaders like kim jong un, or vladimir putin. Now we have our president listing off to Putin what he “shouldn’t attack.” How dumb must one be.Step Off wrote:

If OANN is the only source you can find to reinforce your shitty views, then maybe your views are shitty and scarcely backed. This was coming for a long time. Biden thought he had 3 weeks, and he had 3 days. We spent billions fighting in the middle east for no reason. We spent billions giving g resources to a defense force that was never going to do anything and never intended to fight. They just wanted US money and weapons.
This incident is totally unprecedented, except for when it totally was precedents by Vietnam, Bay of Pigs, the founding of Al Queida, and the list goes on. To paint it as a failing of one president is to admit a lack of historical and political knowledge.
But what do I know. I just studied and got a degree in political science, worked on Capital Hill in TX, and taught beatnik/war era literature as a TA. Clearly armchair experts ranting on forums of a dead game are all incredibly knowledgeable and qualified and would have planned this so much better.
-
It’s how it was done.
We never should have left any weaponry there. I understand they won’t be able to maintain it for long, sure, but as of now what we left gives them more military equipment than a majority of countries.
We should not have lost 13 brave marines
We should not have put ANY trust into terrorists hands and used our big american cocks to make sure everything went the way we wanted it to.Biden’s a vagina

Technically Sleepy joe is just continuing his poor decision making from the Obama administration. Sleepy joe can’t own any mistake that he doesn’t remember making sue to his dementia.🤣🤣. I love how we want to impeach a guy for some poor choice comments but when a man clearly isn’t fit to run a country we defend him.Obviously we fumbled on this big time. It’s a bad look. Fucking embarrassing actually. Joe fucked up big time and then refuses to admit as much. But let’s not let trump off the hook. He put this deal in place. He negotiated with the taliban. Period. You don’t make deals with fucking terrorists. Ever. There’s fault and blame all over. No one single person is responsible for a fuck up of this magnitude. It was a group effort.
-
@viking I didn’t read every post but did you mention about how now the taliban has all the weapons Biden chose to leave behind?
-
People need to stop saying things like “Biden has dementia”
It’s not helpful, nor factual due to their being no actual solid/concrete evidence. No valid sources you can cite and point to. It also makes you Trump thumpers look STUPID.
“Oh yea, Biden has dementia and poops his pants.” Really dude? And you think this makes Trump look better? The guy who embarrassingly lost in the debates to Biden? - and not by a small margin. Trump looked like a child next to Biden those nights. And if Biden suffers from dementia like you say he does, that doesn’t make Trump look any better 😂

Shit. While he talking about taking our guns, he giving billions of dollars of artillery to one of the worst terrorist groups in the middle east.
