SSL Downtime

Alright guys you're right, I screwed up, big time. A while back I'd set up an auto-renew for the SSL certificates, and it worked – but not every time (apparently just well enough to let me forget about it). That's what caused the downtime yesterday (7:30pm-10:00pm Pacific Time).
I've set a calendar reminder for 11/22 (the new expiration date) with 7 day and 1 day reminders: hopefully this will help me get it right this time 😬.
Sorry for the (really dumb) downtime, and thanks for your patience.

I’m not one to moan nick but we spoke way back when temps was a new thing and you where helping me getting them setup for the site as I knew 0 about programming back then (11 year ago). The temps are down and I have logged a call last week but have had no response.
For the community and historical value please check my ticket and help get the temps working again.
My API key has been revoked and I need a new one.

you can get free certs for 90 days from most providers like ZeroSSL but you have to renew every 3 months. I’ve actually just set this up now for my sites with acme.sh program that automatically issues and renews your certs highly recommended 🙏 (nick 😂)

… The certs we occasionally do in our business cost about C$50 for the year. Does Nick need a more expensive Wildcard or something? Even they are only a few hundred bucks.

It’s pretty easy to script auto-updates for free certs. It’s also easy to leave a bug in a script that makes it fail.

Sounds like the TW community could help fix the issue 😶 perhaps a dev should reach out to one of these people...
