Dont resist or jump back in your car where an officer can’t tell if you have a weapon. Always comply. Another criminal resisting getting killed. Hmmm.

Here we go. She is being brought up on second degree manslaughter charges. Which is laughable at best. Here’s the statue:
https://www.revisor.mn.gov/statutes/cite/609.205
The only reason they’re charging her with this is because of public outcry. There’s not a shot in hell she’s convicted. She may however lose a civil case for negligence.

What a fucked up time we living in now...where those who break our laws get put on a pedestal and held as a hero or martyr, while those that risk their life everyday to keep the the bad guys at bay are treated as the bad guys themselves. Shm

Daunte Wright? Oh damn. From where I’m from, we call him “scumbag”.

Here is what NY governor Andrew Cuomo said:
“My thoughts are with the family of #DaunteWright.
We cannot stand by and watch as a flawed system again and again devalues the lives of Black men & women.
We must end injustice in the criminal justice system & in NYS we are committed to reform.”
#BlackLivesMatter....How is it racist?

1) by the person's culpable negligence whereby the person creates an unreasonable risk, and consciously takes chances of causing death or great bodily harm to another; or
Whereby the person created an unreasonable risk AND consciously takes chances. Even if you argue she created the risk there’s no way in hell you’re going to get her on “consciously taking chances of causing death” after watching that video. Clearly an accident.
-
If anyone took risk and consciously took a chance it was the guy...purposely tried to run from the police. How could any reasonable person think it would ever end well for them? Actions have consequences and all. But today we are in a world where we are slowly eroding the consequence part because “we don’t want to upset anyone or hurt their feelings anymore.” What a shame and a detriment to our society as a whole.

If you don’t comply and put an officer in a position of defending themselves shame on you. Period. I hate that an office has to wait untilt they take a bullet to do their damn job. How about the criminal NOT put them in that position. They find out you have warrants, you resist, and jump back in your car for what? A weapon? No thanks. I would have shot also. Glad i’m not a cop.

Agreed. https://youtu.be/S_pvzrQxgDQ something kinda similar happened a couple years ago in my hometown, a black male cop accidentally shot and killed a white female while responding to a call. It can happen to both races, accidents happen. When it’s a black person accidentally killed it automatically turns it into a racism problem, when it’s a white person killed, nobody cares. The black cop in my hometown was (rightfully) was not convicted (bc it was an accident)

highly educated, successful guy Probably doesn’t live in the hood and drive a hooptie. The school janitor, the mechanic, the grocery store clerk, the cook, the teacher, the artist and the shipping clerk may have a different environmental experience with the police growing up and as an adult

i'm sure there are plenty of low paid or poor people that are not going to be criminals and do what he did. i say most given it's probably the largest group of people. it's not their income or status that makes them do what they do or else it would be alot worse. i wish people would stop blaming their circumstances. they look for an excuse to justify doing bad shit when there's plenty of people in the same neighborhoods and situations that do not. it's a choice.

One less criminal and possible murderer of innocent civilians. Cop screwed up bad though.
