Do you remember when you downloaded Turf Wars? Where were you in your path of life, and how is that different than who you are today?
I downloaded Turf Wars in November 2009. I had just married my wife (Batel) 2 weeks before. We went through a roller coaster of a marriage in our first few seasons. I remember posting in here the day we found out she was pregnant, but had an eptopic pregnancy.
Since then, I landed a job as a District Rep for the job I’ve worked at for the last 19 years.
My wife went from working for Hotels.com, to working in radio, to now being a writer for the YouTube channel Cinema Sins (anyone watch their stuff?)
We have a daughter who turns four next month.
Life and priorities are much different than they were when I downloaded this game 11 years ago.
How different are you?

Downloaded in 2013 while I was in 8th grade. I was in an abusive relationship with some girl that was a couple years older than me. That was the lowest point of my life so far and playing this game hours on end helped me through it. I got banned and reset in 2015 at 30k (😢). Since then I’ve graduated high school, traveled to France, Germany, and Italy, and now I am a junior in college studying math, stats, & act sci. Then redownloaded TW this past fall 4/5 years later. I’ve changed a lot physically and mentally, met a lot of new friends, and learned a lot of new things, life is great!

Downloaded in 2011. Had just moved to Florida to start my new job. Just gotten married. Had my first kid in 2013. Banned/reset it in 2014/2015 I think. Came back in 2016 quit during the ‘no fix no fill’ days. Had my second kid in 2017. Came back in 2019 or so.
Life’s so different than when I started. I run the company I went to work for 10 years ago. The kids take up much of my time. The thought about having a couple hours a day just to punch codes kinda blows my mind.

Downloaded in 2013, (I think the old days of viper and mav).
I want to say I was 12 at the time, I’m 20 now. Been playing off and on, old me made a lot of stupid passwords so I’ve got like 4 accounts but I only got access to one now.
Just come in every once and awhile to say hi and harass Dunn. Came back this time to see he’s gone :(

Judging by my comments I started at the very end of 2011, and I was actually 11. Looks like I talked some mad game that I couldn’t back up for awhile, but I was also a kid lol. I took a long break somewhere in the middle, but here we are over 10 years later. I’m 21, about to finish my third year of college, and two years away from medical school. It’s crazy how time flies, I used to play this on the iPod with the fat charger (the four I think).

Fun story. From 11 to a college grad. Big changes in life.

Started playing February of 2010. Worked for Best Buy at the time and one of my employees told about this cool game.
Met some players in real life and made friends with people I’ve never met in person.
Had a blast playing with one of my kids, people accused me of having two accounts. Nope, just sitting next to someone who was playing.
That oldest kid now has a daughter of his own.
Middle kid is engaged and pretty much has his dream job at Blizzard.
Daughter became a nurse at a local hospital, been with her boyfriend for years, waiting for the engagement

Started in October 2010. Wow. Crazy to think it was that long ago. Left in 2015 a little after I had my first kid. Came back the other day to see how people were getting on in life. I now have 2 boys and live in Texas! Crazy to see all the “old timers” that are still around and live catching up with old allies on all sides of the game now. Happy Turfing!!!

First downloaded Turf Wars in 2011 (I was 12 at the time). I stuck with that account for about 2 years until high school came around and life got much busier. Through high school I played football and basketball so that became priority. At some point during high school I realized I forgot my account username and password so I created this account, with which I have played periodically. I went on to college where I studied Information technology and computer science, and graduated this past spring. I now have started my first real full time job and recently just moved out of my parents place into my own apartment! Loving life and the feeling of independence is absolutely fantastic. Crazy how fast time seems to fly by, and how much life changes in the blink of an eye.

Just recently downloaded after not playing for the past 4-5 years. Used to be a capo of many but now just one lol. Still don’t know what brought me back or how I got back into this

One of the “Old timers” I guess.
Downloaded in 2010, took a 3 year break and just returned about 6 months ago.
Met many players in real life and made long life friends with players in this game, even do I’ve never meet some of them.
IRL I have 2 older daughters, still married to the same woman and getting ready to retire on a real island on the east coast of 🇨🇦. Cheers! -
Started back in 2011. I was in 8th grade and my whole school was big on this game. I’m now 22 years old and just redownloaded sometime in 2019. Recently Graduated from Clemson and moving to Atlanta to start my first big boy job. Crazy how I was just a little shithead kid when I first downloaded this app and where the time has gone.

Was involved with TW before we had the Millennium party so was pre 2000. What’s changed? Jeezus. Too much. More grey hair, change of addresses, change of jobs, loss of family, got married, stopped being active on TW!!!!!

Have you all seen those whacko suggestion threads asking for turf on the moon? Turns out that was an old feature, but was deprecated in the early ‘70s...

Dowloaded in 2010, I think max mob was in the 3k if that. Not much has change other than I’m better looking now then before. 🤷🏻♂️

1st time downloaded in 2012.. played a little.. then forgot about the game. I was married no kids.
2nd time started 2020 in April.. still married to same girl .. 2 kids later .... was a wild ride during this time .. with ups and downs.. but all in one.. pretty awesome…
All the decisions made until now brings me to this moment.. when I wrote this words here.. how crazy is that .. 🤷♂️😊
