Cardano ADA - buy it. You’ll thank me in 5 years. Bought in 2018 and again last month ($1,780 total). Up $2,100 since 2018, projected to double again by May to $2.40.
Also, Bitcoin expected to hit $75,000 by May, and some see it realistically hitting $100,000 this year due to huge investments by Tesla and other big companies and banks.
What are your thoughts? Interested to see who else is interested/investing in the crypto market.

Also, I know there’s a thread for the stock market, but I wanted to make one specifically for cryptos!

I’ve got some ETH. Gains over Dec & Jan were insane. It’s gone a bit wobbly lately but I reckon it’s good for a while yet. Just got to keep holding and ride the storm.

I’ve always had a problem with cryptocurrency. Mostly because of the volatility of it. I don’t ever see how true VALUE could be assigned to it. It also seems highly unlikely that governments will ever switch over to it because that would mean giving up control of their own currency. That will never happen, at least from the major players. I could see countries like Uganda switching over to it.
And then there are the multiple players trying to edge in on it. Even Kodak is considering it.
That said, I believe it will forever be relegated to something like college campus money. Whoever accepts it will accepts it.
It will continue to be a part of our lives but it’s just too unpredictable. If you’re a short term investor/gambler and into watching it, no doubt you’ll make money from it.
I’m out.

Real money is only valuable because a value is attached to it. A hundred dollar bill is just a piece of paper.

True. All money is an illusion including the value assigned to it. But consider the psychological problem of getting the masses to trust ones and zeros, generated from a computer. I get where you’re coming from, but it’s obvious you haven’t done a lot of research. Which is okay, but you should really look up some of the benefits cryptocurrencies and their block chains have. Yeah, that is a hurdle to say the least. I trust the system but I don’t trust the trust in the system.🔥B337🔥 wrote:

It's true any Government will not give up their control, but that's beauty of the crypto currency. If enough big companies start to accept it, I think we all will.be using it in 20 years time, especially for international transactions.
The Bitcoin's price is same in US, Europe or anywhere else in the world. No issues with commission's charged by the banks...
I would say really good long term investment.

It honestly may be overvalued (#4 most traded Crypto rn) as smart contracts are still in development & it’s only use rn is speculation and staking. Hopefully it gets contracts up and running before ETH reduces fees and environmental impact from mining. Should be able to pick up some clients if that’s the case. If they don’t get it done in time, then they’ll be in contest with a smart contract juggernaut with no contracts themselves. That being said I have some ADA cuz why not, it could be one of the next big cryptos

Cardano just released its Mary update a few days ago which is the beginning of the smart contract phase. I can’t remember the exact number, but Cardano is a lot cheaper AND faster than ETH. It’ll be interesting to watch it play out over the course of the next few years. I’m hoping it goes well, I become a millionaire when it hits $300 🤑It honestly may be overvalued (#4 most traded Crypto rn) as smart contracts are still in development & it’s only use rn is speculation and staking. In all seriousness. I don’t expect it to hit $300 any time soon unless all of ETH clients switch over to Cardano. It has a lot of potential, but it’s supply limit is on the higher end so demand is never going to be an issue. Thus, price might stay below $5.
