My buddy decided to buy a 6.6L Duramax engine amd an alison's transmission for it, and wants to stick it in his 2017 Dodge Challenger srt Hellcat...anyone else ever done some crazy shit like this? I've built plenty of crazy vehicles in the past but never thought of diesel swapping a challenger, also anyone looking for a hellcat motor? 6.2L V8 dynoed and tuned. He is asking $18k for the motor and transmission. 735hp and 685foot pounds of torque.

Destroy a perfectly good car to roll coal ? Idk if crazy would be the word I picked to describe it. You should slap your friend 😬😂 however to each their own . If he enjoys it, then the $ he is throwing away is worth it.

If he has to rebuild the whole car anyways why not start with a v6 former rental challenger? Salvage title is even better.
