Carb consumption, diet regulations
Forums › General Discussion › Carb consumption, diet regulations-
Aug wanted to now where I stand. Well this is an issue that I don’t spend a lot of time thinking of. I do know that the mass production of food for the masses disproportionately affects those in lower economic situations. If funds are limited to feed a family, choices have to be made. Highly processed, chemicalized cheaper foods and industrial farms with pesticides and growth inducers are known to cause long term health issues. Regulations on what you can eat and how much you can eat is like aerating the local meth head because meth has overtaken your town. It won’t work. Rehab will not solve the infiltration of mass amounts of meth in a community. So to me the issue is with the FDA and with Dept of At and how they prioritize the need to feed billions of people and weight that against the process to do it without contributing to illness due to the manners in which they do so. It is far more complicated than regulations on if you can upsize your happy meal.

Dept of Ag and arrest not aerate

I’m not a fan of regulating anything really. That being said the way food companies are allowed to advertise is criminal. They can tout something as healthy that’s loaded with sugar and salt without anyone batting an eye. God forbid we allow people to smoke a joint, pop a couple extra Xanax or take some HGH though. THATS harmful 🙄

Even if you’re poor, which I was, you can have a healthy diet. Don’t let anyone convince you otherwise. “It’s so expensive to eat healthy.” - bullshit. Excuses.
I’m not referring to these shitty cheap food companies and the way they advertise, <- that’s all bad stuff.
But, when I first started training and dieting, I was a broke bum. But I wanted to be a healthy bum. Do you know how cheap rice, eggs, chicken and lettuce are????? I think it comes down to the person who is hungry. Heat up some rice, or buy some french fries. Their call.
