If you guys are looking for good stable long investment id suggest HD $1.50 in divs a quarter. The price of the shares also deters day trading.

Back to the original question: ira or Roth is something you should really talk to a financial advisor or a cpa about. It’s a tax thing and any advice without knowing what your situation is incomplete advice.
You have to look at goals. I have most of my money that I manage (financial planner has the bulk of it) in etf’s that I think will do well over the next decade. I really like ICLN, LIT, TAN. I see those clean and renewable energy things doing well over the long term. I also hedge those bets with things like GUSH, which is oil and completely in the tank right now.
Individual stocks are fun, I have some GME and AMC, some TSLA. They’ve mostly all done well but I’ve had some stocks go south and wipe out a lot of my value. They’re educated gambling. Have fun and hope for big gains, but prepare for big losses.

Id argue roth is better. Pay taxes now while you can afford it, instead of paying them later and getting less than expected. Other issues include but not limited to higher tax rates in the future.
On the other side when you retire you will be in a lower tax bracket. My argument, i dont want to pay taxes for taking money out of the bank. Id rather pay taxes as i make money like normal. -
☝🏼☝🏼 Really depends on the tax bracket you are in vs the expected tax bracket you will be in when you start to withdraw the funds. For some that is a HUGE difference, for others- not so much- also if you plan on withdrawing it out over a long period or a short period also would impact a decision

Unpopular topic but i still think AMC can squeeze. Also are there any super knowledgeable people that know how to research stocks? I have a few im interested in but not sure what all i should be researching. Obviously not looking for financial advisors just looking for fellow advice.

First one is HCMC. Its at $0.004 per share. So i know its very risky, but they have been around for more than 5 years, they also have a court date on feb 27th for suing another company over a patent issue. It looks like they do have a strong case and can win. Which i think will cause their stock prices to increase quite a bit. Is there anything else i should be looking at other than what the company is about, market cap, and upcoming news? Obviously im not in it to gamble id go in with the intent of investing, and not for a pump and dump.

Kudos to people making money on crypto. Its not something i see myself getting in on. The price is the prices because thats what people say the price is. Its like investing in the usd or pesos or yen. The price could tank and then its worthless. At least with other currencys it would take the collapse of a government for it to become worthless. The only real benefit it has is that its capped. But the creators could say, meh fuck it and make more. Yeah that woukd be dumb but 1 person would cause millions to disappear. Other companies have made dumber decisions in the past.
