Pringles sued for the right to call its product (a pressed slurry of rice,wheat, corn and potato flakes) potato chips in the US. In the UK they sued to not be called potato chips but as a “snack food” to avoid higher taxes.

Log Frederick II of Prussia invested heavily into growing potatoes due to widespread lack of food and starving citizens. The people distrusted his monarchy when he tried to give the potatoes to them. They believed he was trying to poison them. Oddly his response worked.He sent his military to guard the potatoes. The citizens then believed they were being saved fort feeding only the elite class and had healing properties. The citizens began stealing the potatoes from the fields during the night.
