What's the point of joining an alliance? Supposedly I'm SEa, but I'm not even sure what that means. Now I've got a few others who want me to join. Can someone be in more than 1 alliance? If youre in an alliance do you have to pay Nick to change your name & add the alliances symbols? with my name the way it is, there's only 2 character slots left. I like my screenname & think it costs alotta don points to change it. Serious replies only please. Oh yeah.... Add : slacker

Any alliance consists of members who are willing to protect other members as well as expecting to be protected by them when needed.

That's the point of this thread douchenozzle. Personally if I have a problem with a player. I sit at my computer with my iphone4 and 👊 codes till I pass out & when I wake up, I wipe em out. No whining. Ya know?

Foo u said supposedly and Glman said u are. That's the funny part. Clearly Glman didn't make it clear to u if your confused. And who's got a problem and whining? Or is that your hypothetical reply to Corrupted? If you don't feel u need/want an alliance and don't care to run one, it's kinda pointless extra work.

Not all alliances are made to protect eachother. My alliance expects it's members to be able to protect themselves.

Ah I see. What I meant for my original comment was if player A was in need, then he would have support ready from his other allied members. If another member needed player A's help, then the player would be expected to help as he would be helped.

It really depends on the alliances the person is interested in I think.

Depending on their rules. Desert rain allows duel memberships in certain circumstances. Also there's unofficial alliances which you could have hundreds of.

Each alliance makes it's own rules about whether they allow you to be in other alliances, as well as whether they require name changes. Alliances are completely player-run; they aren't created or run by nick, so there aren't any uniform rules across alliances.

Alliances exist at the very least to provide backup if it is needed. Some provide more support for smaller things than others. There can also be a social aspect to them, such chatting on palringo.
