GOAT 🐐 - Alhamdulillah - the legend Retires #KhabibTheLegend
-
It's a shame to see such a great fighter retire.
His grappling is on another plane of existence. He straight up climbed Gaethje like a tree in round 2.
-
He looked even better than usual, and to retire at that age with that skillset... he looked so sad too, still grieving no doubt.
-
The saddest part is he won’t get as much recognition as he deserves. He’s a great fighter with an amazing record but he’s got no personality. He’s so bland. The coolest thing he did (in the eyes of the casual fight fan) was beating McGregor, but even that is overshadowed by the fight afterwards. I’ll bet we never see him in the Hall of Fame.

He’s the Mike Trout of the UFC for sure. He could have been legendary but has no idea how to “sell” a fight. So yea, he’s great and deserves to be there but he’s also hella forgettable. The saddest part is he won’t get as much recognition as he deserves. his pace alone no fighter will ever match, his mental iq and physical skill will also never be touched. He wasnt a bland fighter at all, i dont see anyone wrestling bear cubs at 7 years old or swimming upstream against current for a mile in a below freezing river. He looked at his prime this fight which is sad thinking what he couldve done with his career but he will 100% be in the hall of fame dana white would look stupid

You guys need to eat your words for the following reasons:
In Russian culture, and especially for those who consider themselves religious, this sport isn’t about “selling” fights in the slightest. It’s about honoring and then smashing your opponent, as well as being humble.
Secondly, Khabib IS now in the hall of fame and will be recognized as the best pound for pound fighter the sport has witnessed. Confirmed by the CEO and literally every UFC fan on social media lol.
Thirdly, you think he looked good here? Check Dana Whites Twitter. Khabib had a BROKEN FOOT just THREE weeks before this fight took place, and he still demolished Justin.
He will be remembered, he is recognized, he is the best, and he doesn’t give a rats ass about “selling fights”. That’s Conor’s domain. 👊

Hey, Simcoe! 👋🏼
Long time, no turf.I’m not knocking Khabib. He’s a great fighter. But as Viking said, He’s just so forgettable. I wouldn’t be surprised if in a few years he’ll just be “the blonde Afro guy that beat Conor.” I hope it doesn’t end that way for him, but we’ll just have to see.
-
He's forgettable selling himself WWE style in a press conference, but not so much when he's shit talking them in the octagon. In a world that only cares about stats, he has a pretty unforgettable record.

If people forget the literally number one pound for pound fighter who never lost a fight, they’re just stupid. 😂
No MMA fan I know will ever forget khabib. I just don’t get that argument at all.
