Good for you catching that. Due to Covid law makers are trying to slide in gun control un noticed. They tried passing a law to make my state get a yearly ammunition permit. Limiting how much you can buy at once also. No more mailing directly to you . Instead having to receive it at ffl establishment.

I honestly never had an interest in owning a firearm until the government seemed so keen to restrict my ability to do so. Now I’m interested. 🧐

I don’t necessarily disagree with that. Ive ordered ammo online before. UPS once left over 4000 rounds on my doorstep while I was at work. I was surprised that they, or the seller, wouldn’t require a signature.
Fortunately I got home before someone swiped it.

Very true. I’m building an AR-15 right now. If you build it yourself, you don’t need a serial number. I’d recommend it.I honestly never had an interest in owning a firearm until the government seemed so keen to restrict my ability to do so. Now I’m interested. 🧐

Not true, a serial number is required regardless. Otherwise your breaking federal laws.🧬𝐓𝐎𝐌'S🧬Daddy wrote:

Not quite. If you manufacture at least 20% of the gun itself for personal use, you are not required to serialize it. However, if you plan on selling it or transferring it, it will need to have a serial number.⌖ᨏ૮ɦαттε૨тσɳᵸᶳ⌖ wrote:

Here’s a statement from the ATF: Additionally, although markings are not required on firearms manufactured for personal use (excluding NFA firearms), owners are ... -
recommended to conspicuously place or engrave a serial number and/ or other marks of identification to aid in investigation or recovery by State or local law enforcement officials in the event of a theft or loss of the privately owned firearm.

I had a TON of .223 and 9mm ammo but I lost it all in a horrific boating accident with all my guns.
