Personally I love Mr Robot because it's the only tv series that's about hacking that realistically describe how its done.

South Park isn’t for normies, blanks, Karens, Kens, or people that don’t “get it”. It’s too nuanced. It goes over their heads and leaves them with a bad taste in their mouths. They can’t appreciate the brilliance of it. 🧐

watch the episode "with apologies to jesse jackson" (provided you give enough shits to watch something you deem comparable to "highbrow" comedy). I wrote one of my philosophy papers on that episode. It uses comedy and alternage pov to depict racism and how it affects people. A common topic i know, but no show has taken it to that episodes degree in my opinion.

Chuck (funny, eye candy, action), alias (eye candy, action), firefly (funny, action)...all are good to watch multiple times so useful as background while gaming...get to be my age and after a few years watching them again is like watching them the first time :)

I can't say I blame you for doing so though. I can't recall Aristotle or Machiavelli ever discussing how redlining negatively affected people of color and contributed to systemic racism within the US. Surely there must be a South park episode that delves into it.

What university do you attend that has a philosophy course that not only covers the broad topic of "racism" but also allows you to reference a crass TV Show written for grade school students? 😂

I can't say I blame you for doing so though. I can't recall Aristotle or Machiavelli ever discussing how redlining negatively affected people of color and contributed to systemic racism within the US. Surely there must be a South park episode that delves into it.

It was a course for modern ethics. The essay really wasnt about racism at all. It was more about how the message was delivered in an unconventional way and how it was receieved. Regardless how you feel about the show, find me another show that uses the hard R n word multiple times (in modern day) and doesnt get taken off air.

I’ve been trained for the last 50 years to resist the human tendency of tribalism. When people base their perspectives on group membership, it smacks of failure to evolve as a society.
