I am not 100% the cop was bad or racist. The procedure was bad and he should be prosecuted for the wrongful death. Im not sold on the racial intent.∞🪓Persephone🌲∞ wrote:
I think we all actually believe the two main points. 1) cop was bad 2) racism is bad. I’ve yet to see anyone disagree with those two points. Isn’t that the main two things people are protesting over? But everyone agrees. Literally everyone. Even with all our differences We shouldn’t forget that.Today everyone is speaking to prove their points. An effort to show they are right and the other is wrong. Opposing sides are not listening and are only trying to dismiss views and beliefs of others. Listen, acknowledge, understand and allow others their beliefs. Educate, don’t dismiss or harass. Respect is a two way street.

No, there’s 0 proof the cop was racist. That may or may not still come out. But you can agree that generally ‘racism is bad’ I assume. Even if this has nothing to do with this particular case.℣į₭ϊ₦Ǥ👹 wrote:

I blame baic. Its nice to know that in heightened times we can still talk politics. We might beca game and argue but we are all people. Except for bomp and luca. They are idiots lol

yes I agree racism is bad and the cop should be prosecuted regardless of where the mistake came from. It was tragic and took a life. Theres no slap on the wrist here.

Protesting is not a crime. Peaceful protests can (rarely) lead to change. Violent riots, destruction of private property, looting, etc are another story. It seems that the rioters are not the same people as the protesters. Support the protesters if you believe in the cause. But the rioters need to be prosecuted. The violence and theft need to stop.

There’s a third class you’re forgetting. What about the protestors who watch police get brutalized and abused all day then when the officer has to defend themself or take someone into custody take video and edit it down to a 10 second clip to make it look like the officer was doing something wrong?Protesting is not a crime. Thats a joke from a black guy by the way before you start calling me trump

Lots more than those causes- impact of COVID and Riots on business, government services, funding of programs, elections, homeless, poverty, world hunger, are all major issues beyond violence, police brutality and bigotry. These issues usually bring out the best and the worst. People in general do not cope with change well. They gravitate to stability of the known instead of venturing into the unknown. Extreme pressure creates diamonds as well as fractures.

If you have seen or experienced how the police have handled these peaceful protests and you are not outraged, then you are the lowest scum imaginable. You are the enablers. Police have shown over the past week that they are nothing more than the enemy of the people, and this is coming from a former LEO. We need to continue protesting until the police stop the violence.
-
The real numbers don’t reflect the cause. I’m not with defunding the police. You guys want real reform defunding won’t help that. The media pushes a agenda to divide.

People like this are literally the problem with the entire country. No discussion, no trying to understand other people. Just “hey you disagree with me you’re scum”.
I guess congrats on contributing to the decline of humanity.

I guess he would argue that its ok to hold a squirt gun that looks like a glock and point it at the police then bitch when the cops shoot him. Right now cops and cities need control. Pick another means to protest. Theres many. Why the one thats highly suspicious at the moment? Just because its your right? Like they dont have enough shit to worry about. Go start a blog or something.

Every single instance of a white person killing a black person isn’t racist. Just like the reverse isn’t true. We need to look at actual facts and not just jump to conclusions.

If it’s a black lives matter thang than let the blacks fight it’s own war.. if its a political fight than let it be all life matters..

They charged that cop in Atlanta. The guy stole the cops taser and fired it at him twice. They charged the cop with murder. Would love to hear someone defend that. Cops are going to flee the procession and it’s the poor neighborhoods that will suffer. I don’t see how anyone could support this.
-
He killed him. Murder . Period.

Here's a thought 🤔
The number of bad police officers is likely much lower than the bad policies they are directed to enforce to keep their jobs.
Based on the police pay scales and the danger inherent to being an officer, I truely doubt most officers are in it for the money. I believe a majority of them just want to make their communities better and safer. To do that they have to keep their jobs and follow the bad directives and policies of the idiot politicians who create policies that just don't work yet they sound really good and get votes.
Where is the outrage for the idiots setting these policies? -
“The average person walks past a murderer 36 times in their life.”
I wonder what the estimate is for police to encounter a murderer in the line of duty.
