This guy has no one to answer to and a steady stream of income. Why would he change it? As long as people spend nothing will change. A lot of people like it this way.

I figure once the cost of server maintenance or whatever outweighs whatever it’s bringing in that’ll be all she wrote. Doesn’t make sense from a business perspective otherwise. Especially since he has GS also. That’s still going right?

There’s so many things he could do honestly. Rework the mob system. Or make mob less of an end all be all for success. Extremely outdated and archaic system. People need to be able to pick up and play easier the game isn’t very accessible from a new players perspective. Provide more free turf. Speed up hopping with an upgrade all button. Login rewards. “Login consecutively and get something each day. Then on day 7 or 30 or whatever get 50 turf limit”
There is honestly a fuck ton of things that nick could do to improve the game on so many levels.

I’m barely scratching the surface here btw. From a gamers perspective the game is a dinosaur in regards to player interactivity and updates and content. “Here’s some Brens again and some new airports lol”
Don’t misconstrue before people think “oh grim is bitching about the game again 🙄”
I’m not complaining again or anything. Whether or not nick changes anything won’t effect me. Just my objective point of view after playing a couple of other mobile games for the last couple of years now.

Seriously though I still spend a lot on games just not on this one. When a mobile game releases something new I typically throw tons of money at it. As fun as the ‘new’ Brens are they’re just not new enough.

It almost feels like he knows he has hooks into people that will keep paying forever and he’s scared to mess it up. The #NoFixNoFill thing was a disaster and I’m sure that cost him big.

I agree. I’m a virgin to paying money on games to play (especially mobile ones) but if this game is ever updated or a new unique mobile game comes out I can realistically see myself dropping some cash.

i can think of atleast 10 players who in the last 4 or so months maxed cap atleast, and spent a couple hundred on turf limit during events. noobs who started within the last 2 years. i myself have spent a decent amount in the last couple of months. im sure it doesnt cost to much to keep a game platform such as this one going, and im willing to bet he makes atleast 3-6k a month off of this side income

I say he makes more than that a month. Me personally, I've put atleast $1500 in the last 6 months alone

im not doubting that its profitable, and im sure there are people out there still spending, but its got to be at least a couple orders of magnitude less than at the peak

the fact that skill points in attack/defense still only count as a single point in that category really annoys tf out of me. if you're gonna make 80% of the game pay 2 win, might as well fix this useless crap for another income stream.

And if it’s not fear of messing up and losing more of his base then maybe it’s just lack of know how. Maybe he isn’t skilled enough to know how to implement some of the suggestions we want. He’s only one dude. He’s not Supercell who has hundreds of workers. It’s just 1 dude and this isn’t his primary job.

I know a Player who wanted to buy the game and then relaunch it, nick eventually said no. So this player is now creating a Game similar to this one rn.
I’ve always wondered why someone didn’t do that but idk how expensive apps are to make.

Oh hell yeah it puts a smile on my face when he reaches out to the community even for small stuff. I’m not expecting him to put his plans or his life in jeopardy for a stupid game and I know he probably makes more than enough on here but I just want him to know that if he updates this game or comes out with something new I’d drop loads of money and I’m sure others will too. Maybe he’s saving it for a rainy day fund. When he gets in financial trouble or wants to buy something fun we’ll get new features. I’m fairly certain that’s how we got cap skill lol
