Why does a theatre that serves mostly Washington’s elite need $25 million and what does that have to do with helping the United States overcome the coronavirus? Oh keep in mind they received $167 million last year in private donations AND just finished a $250 million expansion.
This isn’t a Democrat thing either. Republicans voted for this shit to get their own corporate bailout bullshit worked into the bill. How much of the $2 TRILLION is going to citizens? About $350 billion. They all deserve to be taken out behind the capitol building and done away with.

Agreed. I think I addressed this on a thread about quantifying happiness and assessing a dollar amount to it. I Personally don’t ‘need’ the stimulus at all. I would imagine (depending upon your perspective of needs vs. wants) that most people that receive a check won’t necessarily ‘need’ it either. The arbitrary line that ends up being drawn in the sand is what most likely Viking is addressing.
The stimulus is a means to reduce the financial impact ( as I understand) regardless of need. This lockdown has a financial impact on people making over 200k as well. I don’t see how we can scrutinize each family and judge their needs. So make it fair down the line. I find it divisive when we draw lines between socioeconomic classes. Regardless of what side of the fence your on -
