Feel free to share how long you have been a fanatic for, what you have, or what you dream to have.
I havent been a huge gun guy for long. But seeing as I got out of military not too long ago I miss going to the range haha.
I currently own a Glock 17 and High Point C9. Before any of you fookers knock my High Point, I have sent over 400 rounds through it and only had one misfire.
For me everyday carry, I love my Glock, and my High Point serves as a vehicle gun and sometimes I carry it instead 🤷♂️ -
As for what I want next, I really want to pull the trigger (pun) on getting a Glock 34.
-
everyday carry a s&w sd40
everything else is used for the rare occasion I get to go hunting

It is 14 round mag +1 in chamber? -
I don’t get the glock no safety thing. Always bugged me out. Always been a Beretta guy. Though I do own an M&P AR because it was so damn cheap.
-
Anyone shoot flintlocks? I got a pedersoli .54 blue ridge long rifle that’s only been shot a couple times if anyone’s interested.

In the market for a 9mm. Gotta get one that I can manipulate the slide on (arthritis), preferably with tritium sights (I work nights in dark places), that’ll fit my small hands, and budget friendly- though most that fit the description are not.
Looking at:
Glock 43/43X
Taurus G2C
Hellcat
Ruger security 9It seems my grip really likes compact single stacks.
I also wanna get a lil pocket pistol but since my county’s probate court isn’t doing weapons carry permits because of coronavirus I guess that’s on hold. -

It has a triple safety. It’s plenty safe. Accidental discharge is all but impossible... You must hold in the handle lock, the trigger switch, and not be dropping the weapon.I don’t get the glock no safety thing. Always bugged me out. Always been a Beretta guy. Though I do own an M&P AR because it was so damn cheap.
And the best part is: Intentional discharge is more likely. 😆
I’d be more concerned about there being no way un-cock the mechanism. To make it safe you must point the gun in a safe direction and pull the trigger. Hope for the click and not the bang.

They hinted about an impending release for the 9mm EZ though I didn't see a date. It is a single stack that is also nice and thin. The shield line is also economical. Might be perfect for you.
The best gun for self defense is the one you have with you and know how to use when you need it.

I wouldn't call myself a fanatic, but I carry a S&W 9mm, and I have a few other firearms for home protection, such as a .12ga.

Yea the “trigger safety” bugs me out personally. Not saying it’s a necessity on a gun or knocking anyone else for enjoying it. I just don’t like it. If a child were to get a hold of a gun and pull the trigger a glock would go off. A gun with a safety on wouldn’t. I know: child should never get a gun, proper procedures, etc etc but shit happens.℣į₭ϊ₦Ǥ👹 wrote:

Just me personally I have liked the feel and control on my Glock 👍👍 -

I’m thinking about getting a DUI. That way I’ll get one of those ignition interlocks on my truck. Then if my kid gets the keys, he’ll have to blow under .08 to start it up and drive around town.
I know.... Kids shouldn’t have the keys... But shit happens. 😁
If they can chamber it, cock it, hold down the grip switch, and put 7 pounds on the trigger, I don’t think I can stop them from pushing the little red button.

But seriously... You know that a “safety” is not designed to keep kids from discharging firearms, right?Brown🎵Note wrote:

And even more seriously... You know with a 10 cent washer you can make a Glock work semi-auto under water, right? 😜

Late to the party but I’ve been interested in them since I was in high school. Got my FOID and CCW permit are 21(could’ve gotten at 18 but parents wouldn’t have signed off). Currently own a G22.4 and carry a G26.5. I’ve heard (and hoping) there’s going to be $1000 sent to all tax paying Americans (or something along those lines, idk the specifics), so if that goes through I’ll probably be building a AR-15 pistol, though I’m also considering a AR-10 instead.
