As GPS is pretty hard to explain with a flat Earth, I assume the second.
Though the ability of mankind to reason away all facts keeps amazing me.....

Watch his documentary called Rocketman on Amazon. I don’t think he believed the earth was flat. He was just a daredevil seeking attention.
-
The flat earth doc on Netflix behind the curve is definitely worth watching. It gives you a pretty good look at the people that think the earth is flat. They even do a few test to prove it’s flat and spoiler they fail.

I was waiting for you to quote Elton John and switch the lyrics:
And I think it's gonna be a long long time 'Till touch down brings me proof of flattened land
I'm not the man they think I am
Oh no no no I'm a rocket man

Sorry. That dude never got up to 5k (which is less than a mile up). His chute ripped off at 800ft and he barely reached 2500ft before splat. Nice story though. 🙄
As one who flies regularly in the flight levels, the curvature of the earth is not discernible at such a silly low altitude. Mountains out west are higher than that. If you can’t see over a mountain, how could you see the curvature of the distant horizon?
On climb out, passing through FL300 (30,000 - 5NM) the curvature becomes obvious.
As you continue your climb to FL420 (42,000 or 7 nautical miles up), it’s clear. We’re on a pretty blue marble, not a flat board. Sorry freaks. Seen it too many times to say otherwise.
No, you and thousands of years of scientists from every corner of the earth are wrong. But, the internet is right.

He knew he couldn’t get high enough with a ground launch to see anything. It was just prep for when he moved to a balloon platform for the rocket. The end goal was the edge of space.
He was a bit eccentric, but I immensely respect him.
1. Life’s not all that special.
2. He took his career as a broke, out-of-work limo driver and lived life more than most of us will ever achieve.
3. He took money from flat Earth morons to fund his notoriety.
4. All he wanted in life was to see his cat’s grandkids.Clink!
🥃🌟🧃Here’s to you, old man.

So... is it Kobe Bryant, his daughter, “and eight others” now?
Too soon?

I see it the same way, beats going out in a slow painful fashion or locked away in a facility. Living life on your own terms and not requiring social approval. Far worse ways to live and to die.

Wow.. that's a lot to process. I don't know wether to shit or go blind... Will the ice wall provide protection when we make contact with the sun? Persephone ... you left me more confused. I have so many questions now.

The sun is actually much smaller than they say. It’s really only about 32 miles wide. It wouldn’t do a whole lot to the ice wall. I’d be more worried about the sun.

Hoodfella Betty is known to compare life to boxes of chocolates,
Look at your device. Is the flat screen generating a 3 dimensional hologram or a 2 dimensional picture. Spheres can only exist in a three dimensional environment. Pictures can only produce 2 dimensional images. Your device is showing you a 2 dimensional picture of a 3 dimensional object. GO BACK TO SCHOOL !!

O man. This is tough. You guys all make such excellent points. I think I'm back on the fence again. I just don't think the ice wall would stay intact if it's round, it just seems like it would fall off.
It's obvious by all these different viewpoints that this truly is something that isn't settled yet. I've learned a lot on this from you guys. Seems like quite a controversy. I imagine we will discover something more concrete in the near future. One of you is bound to be right🤷🏼♂️
