Anyone here good with trading options? I want to use 20k-30k to play around with but would like to be smart about it.

I worked for a company that was bought by Pepsi. Part of the buyout was issuance of stock to full time staff based upon $50 for each year with the company. I was issued $500 worth of stock.
Pepsi ended up spinning g off it’s snack food division into YUM brands. The stock essentially split with shareholders obtaining equal shares in Yum as they held in Pepsi. Yum ended up several years later spinning off its Asian market as Yum China, essentially splitting the stock again. The stock is not a world beater in turns of huge dividends or giant price increases BUT it has averaged 6.5 % returns over the last 25 years & the stock has split 3 times in the same period. When split, stock value is cut in half, but the number of shares doubled. Each time the stock split it has returned to the pre split price per share value within 3 years- that’s a pretty solid record.

Not sure about stocks but definitely worth investing in XRP.Anyone here good with trading options? I want to use 20k-30k to play around with but would like to be smart about it.
Do your own research please before investing.
Crypto is the future, currently its very volatile it can go up/down very quick. I have personally invested £2k. I wouldn't recommend anymore and only invest if you can afford to lose it.
Good luck

Ive heard people say crypto was played out. Its still a good market?

$NFLX $MSFT $SBUX $TSLA NFLX still has room to grow, msft services are taking over, sbux still building brick and mortar stores like crazy, tsla gained 100bn in market cap past 2 months. Don’t listen to me though. You can try to play off the beer virus

How much are you lending? And how are you protected?

Bro, just buy 2 kilos of coke and hit the streets. Oh, and don’t take any of our advice here (except when Killer suggested you do your own research.)

You can lend as little as $10. I tend to put $1000 per property I choose to invest in though. The money is typically held for 6 months to a year. You have a first lien mortgage on the property in case of default. They give you a decent amount of info about each property so you can be choosy with your investment. How much are you lending? Yeah that’s nice until housing crash. All your investments would have gone to 0 in 2007. Have fun getting that 10% every year until you zero loans repaid.
If you want a better but similar type investment check out prosper and lending club same idea but individuals are much more likely to pay back loans during downturn than a house flipper. RE developers business model involves going bankrupt (you can probably think of one guys). Have fun funding those clowns.

Do you know what theta, gamma or delta are?
If not you are definitely not going to be smart about it and even if you do why sit at a poker table with sharks? You can get lucky but the only way to be smart about it is to know that you will probably lose it all but that is fine you will have fun and there is a chance you could make some fast cash.
Here are three things you can do.
1. Buy far OTM options basically like lottery tickets
2. Sell covered calls or puts to increase your returns
3. Buy or sell call spreads. Directional bets where you can make money fast but don’t lose a ton to theta and gamma. Pretty much pure delta plays with leverage.Start with above.

I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.℣į₭ϊ₦Ǥ👹 wrote:

Options are risky. If you do dip your toe, start with basic hedging of some long positions you already have.

Here are a few from my portfolio: “CRM” is undervalued. “TRI” has doubled his past year. “SBUX” has been slowly growing. “AMZN” is good but expensive.

made loads, lost loads it’s a form of betting n don’t put in what u can’t afford to lose

Don’t take stock tips from your next door neighbour ... if they were good, they wouldn’t be living next to you.

Be smart, do your research, and realize that you are basically gambling with that money.
Definitely do not take advice from places like r/wallstreetbets unless you want to lose your money.
There are plenty of good resources out there that you can utilize in order to make a well informed decision.

Hype for the stock it’s pretty much a speculation stock at this point cause they’ve just started and there’s no real data to go off of to know if it’s profitable or not but if you believe in the possibility that they can make space travel available for anyone then I’d invest I bought a few shares just cause I like the thought of space travel being available for anyone but like I said that stock is pretty much speculative they are set to launch a few rocket this year so well see how that goesWhat made spce jump so much?

But I’d recommend doing your own research

Also if you looking to get into options trading while it won’t make you ginormous gains I would recommend looking into selling puts on dividend stocks that you plan on holding long term I personally look for good strong company’s that pay good dividends, just a thought selling puts allow you to profit off premium and even if the stocks fall below your strike price and you have to purchase the shares that’s ok cause you choose stocks that you plan on holding long term anyway just make sure the strike price is a price your willing to pay for the stock
