Interesting that the western coalition of states is pushing towards state legislation that will require all electoral votes for the state going solely to the candidate with the most national popular vote. It is a true Dem response to both Bush II and Trump where Gore and Clinton would have won. They are about 60% of the way to achieving 270 electoral votes guaranteed by these states. Basically nullifying the electoral college altogether. So the people of Des Moines will Under rule of NY and CA politics. When the day comes in which NY and CA do not share the same political views as the popular candidate- all hell will break loose again with calls to change the system.

4 years ago the rhetoric was just as loud, if not louder. The show was on the other foot. The sun will rise tomorrow. If the masses are pleased, it will continue 4 years from now. If the masses are unhappy, it will reverse course. Unfortunately for 20 years the party not in favor has focused on making sure the masses are unhappy.
